Seriously, though, I'm surprised you don't like him more. The thin plastic complaint isn't one I've heard about him before, but I get the complaint about the joint tension. My Huff arrives today, so I'll be able to compare soon.

That loose cannon probably would. I swear that behind the scenes in victory they were like "we can make you a power up but at the expense of ginrai's sanity" then Saber was like " make it happen"

I friggin' love Uncle Billy. Don't ask me why. For some reason, I have this image in my head of him as these cheerful, doting, cartoony character who just wants to be everyone's friend.

Took a lot longer than I anticipated to mod this guy. DX9 really made disassembly difficult on this guy, especially on the head and the crotch area. Forced me to resort to more creative measures, but still turned out pretty good. Includes eyes, crotch lighting, cockpit, and blinking heartbeat.

Note: The KFC hands are temporary hands. They do NOT fit during transformation. I will have to figure this one out another time.

Regarding thin plastics, I think part of it is the way the wings "lock" into place in bot mode, which is to say they don't really lock into place and require tension to sort of hold them. The left "hook" shaped catch doesn't like to stay locked in, for example. And the way the feet form is a bit awkward, including the use of a screw with a washer for a sliding joint for a very awkward ankle rocker, if it can even be called that. And the left under-foot piece not staying tabbed in reminds me of thin plastic on older figures that warps just enough that a tab won't stay in place, leaving it feeling a bit cheap and not solidly engineered.

I have to ask, did you modify the original Astoria or is that completely custom-made? She looks so much more detailed than the original, and I already like the original. I might have to modify mine when it arrives. I painted eyes on my Spike (from MP-10) the other day. Not perfectly done but it definitely brings him more to life.

 

Oh-- I put the original Astoria into storage. I use custom modified M.A.S.K. figures to display with the bot modes as they fit far better to scale with the animation (in bot mode only). The smaller figures (e.g. MP-10 Spike) scale to the vehicle modes. Astoria is a modified Vanessa Warfield.

You're going to have to be more specific than that. Currencies are usually denoted with three letters. You could go have a look at xe.com and see if you can find the currency you want. I doubt I can't help, but let's see... There's the Euro - maybe you're thinking of that? Looks like this: €

The only other ones I can find are the Nicaraguan Cordoba (C$), the Costa Rican Colon (₡) and, technically, the Swiss Franc (CHF).

Just bought one. Could not hold out any longer. This guy is just 1,000% win. DX9 outdid themselves here. Everything from the box art to the figure itself is just pure win. It would almost be a crime not to have this in your MP collection.  

 

Has anyone else noticed that Richthofen's red paint is a little bit lighter/almost dark pinkish instead of solid red?

Only noticed the difference after I posed him together with some of my other red bots. I still think he's a handsome daredevil, though!
