Yeah, me too. In some episodes of the cartoon he was as tall as a regular carbot, in others he was closer to Bumblebee. Everything in that range is fine. This guy looks good. So long, XTB Glider!

I would have also preferred 5" bot size instead of 6", similar to Bumblebee / FT Seaspray / BC Grump. But it is what it is i guess. Apparently due in August.

Really? Where did you learn this? If true I'd be happy on the one hand but pressed on the other what with Terminus Part A dropping in that same time frame. I'm always impatient to get a long anticipated figure but it really would be something startling if Powerglide were so close to release.

I'm sticking with xtransbots glider - just the right size to fit with the other 3p minibots and doesn't look a whole lot different from this one.

I really like this, it looks similar to the Jizai/X-TB design but overall much cleaner. I know sizewise Powerglide was depicted all over the place, but carbot size does seem a little excessive. Nevertheless, a probable buy from me!

 

Yeah, i feel the same. Thing is, with Seaspray, there is like 4 companies making it, and all different size, and only FT is confirmed to be small size, and KFC is a maybe (i would assume they get it right here). In this case, only DX9 seems to really be moving forward with this, and although the size of bot mode is not taller than i was hoping for, the mold itself looks very good at this point, and i know their quality should be good. Really, Powerglide and Cliffjumper are my current top wants after Arcee. Also, it would be nice getting someone else's beachcomber than the XTB version.

 

Technically no...coming on down doesn't involve any bidding or pricing games. Plus he went over.  

Interesting that this is $80. I really did think this would have been cheaper.

 

I for one am happy to see Powerglide getting some love.

He looks spot on and perfect. not a single gripe.

His height is perfect as well.

I know scale is subjective in Gee'one, but i think Powerglide should be as tall as a carbot.

 

Glad they are shifting styles and are doing Cartoon accurate stuff now. Their Carry is/was/will always be a disgrace.

 

Really? I'm curious what your objection to him is. For what he is, he's amazing. Carry was never, ever sold, listed or described as G1. He's Studio Ox. And he's an amazing representation of that. He is hands down the most solid and well designed figure I own with an amazing transformation and super solid plastic. My only gripe is the all in one transformation left him with a too small alt mode. Otherwise he's a true Studio Ox Masterpiece. It's just unfortunate that he doesn't fit in with anything else in my collection, but that's my fault not DX9's. It's no different to an IDW figure or a War Within or FOC figure. I wouldn't expect people to criticise Spark Toys Alpha Pack or MMC Kultur for not being G1. Even if the design is not to ones liking, the execution and accuracy to its source material is excellent.

 

I'd like to see Dx9 do a G1 Rodimus that is if FT doesn't beat them to it.
