Sign me up for one, too
I wonder how he would look in a classics display e.g. with deluxe Warpath?
In MTMTE he and cosmos were huge.
I really like my OS KO powerglide but this guy is tempting. Also have the first party figure that it's based off of. Seems like the KO is more properly scaled. But wow this guy is expensive for a mini bot. Decisions, decisions.
You'd have to find one that sells for more than $74.99
Wow... A DX-9 figure I'm going to buy. Some other company is so gonna do the stupid blinking heart gimmick. I KNOW IT!
Looks like I'm in on this guy. Too cool to pass up, even if I wish his arms transformed a little bit more for vehicle mode. Hopefully we get some more minibots from DX9 too!
Oddly enough, I watched the G1 episode "A Decepticon Raider in King Arthur's Court" with my son last night which is an episode that features Hoist and Warpath. Warpath is as tall as Hoist throughout the entire episode despite often being carbot height or shorter in episodes where he is not a "feature" character. Interesting to me, and why I don't mind Powerglide and Warpath being even up to carbot height...
Warpath for the shake of Sanity should not be considered a minibot, same for Seaspray, just for the shake of their altmodes IMHO.
Yeah, I'm fine with minibots not all being the same size. I think there's a limit, and there's something neat about having a class of characters who are smaller, so I wouldn't want to see a Warpath who was as big as MP-10. These things are ultimately arbitrary, but I think carbot size is a pretty good ceiling for a figure that was a minibot, and that's a scale supported in the 'toon (for what little that is worth - everyone remember Swindle-sized Bruticus?). I don't think there's any reason why all the minibots need to be the same height as Bumblebee, and for guys like Warpath, Powerglide and Cosmos, whose characters and alt-modes suggest some bulk, I'm perfectly fine with them standing out a bit.
I don't see why G1 figures that mini bot alt modes in 1984 have to be smaller today as well. I'm glad that BC's Warpath is car bot size in bot mode, and while this guy is shorter than Warpath, I'm glad he's not AS short as most of the other 3rd party minis.
The chosen prime review videos are so perfectly antiseptic
I like the size. However Price definitely seems high when you consider their omega supreme price point. not in love with what they did with the arms In alt mode.
I'm in watch/wait and see mode.
The video exposed a few things that I'm not in love with. I don't like the way the wings sit relative to the chest, how from most angles there is a gap. I don't really like how the arms transform in jet mode, well not so much the transformation itself but the way the end up looking. I'm definitely not in love with the price. Maybe I'll just wait and see. I'm pretty sure xtransbots is doing Powerglide as well. That said, he's not a hugely important character to me so maybe I'll just get it and be done with him. I don't really care about the alt mode, I'm going to be using Takara Classics Powerglide for the jet mode anyway
The only thing that bugs me is the way the arms look in jet mode. As someone else mentioned, they should have borrowed generations Scourge's arm transformation. Also that price is kinda high but I'll pay it anyway lol
I hope this guy fits in well. He looks really good, but I do wish they closed the gap on that wing a little better, oh well
But for a first wave combiner wars figure, i as pretty impressed with this guy as legends scale.
While i maybe don't see me buying this soon, i'm actually glad they exist some of this type of releases.
-Full reveals in colours and pre-orders, and some weeks later the figure is released.
Nothing of 2 or 3 years seeing the process from render, to prototype to redesign, etc.
Just finished already when is revealed.
When is this supposed to be dropping?
must just be perspective, his face looks huge compared to Prowl and Ironhides.
No, that arturo milomir guy on Facebook. He also had a pic of an unpainted prototype
