...i agree that war in pocket'll likely tackle optimus at some point, especially since hybrid series prime is pretty pricey these days, but now that the legends space is heating up with several other competitors i'm excited to see what other offerings evolve, too: not just iron factory, war in pocket, and palm series, but now we have the hot soldiers picking up where takara's THS left off ten years ago, and generation toy getting in on the action, too...

 

theres a new dx9 thread with an OP reveal, even if... its kinda turned against them. Its not clear what scale its yet as they used other OP toys to announce.

 

...yeah, i'm not sure what that thing's supposed to be, but its articulation clearly isn't legends-scale...

 

I just got this guy (late to the party) and I'm glad I read this thread before breaking the horns. Why would they use square pegs on the horns?? To make things worse, one of them shifts a little to one side so when you look at him they're both leaning to the left (his right). Is there a left horn and right horn and I just got two of the same?

 

...i'm pretty sure his horns are identical...

 

After fiddling with him some more... his rear half is a pain in the ass to get back into dino mode. I was terrified of breaking the pins that hold the panels together. Also, like Swoop, he has no weapon storage...

I do like him though... I just need to find a better way to transform that rear half. I should be getting Sludge today.

So i dont have the instruction manual(not sure it is documented) but made this sequence showing how to smoothly transform dx9 bumper's tail and back legs...

This is especially useful when getting him back to dino mode.

From dino to robot you can scrape it round but not so easy the other way... This is pain/stress free and just a case of rotating parts 45% at a time in a sequence.
