He said he got two, but he's awaiting his actual bulk shipment soon. He did mention he didn't have any problems with his two.

Just looking at this pc makes me more convinced that TG would be the perfect Guardian robot.

I've had these sitting on my camera since Sunday night, but forgot to post them due to other personal problems arising earlier this week. I'll have more "fun" photos up later tonight in the Cool Stuff 3rd Party thread. I also seem to have run out of Autobot logos, or have lost them again. Lately all my 3rd party purchases have been Decepticons, so I haven't had any need for any, and I guess I used them all up with my last Autobot 3rd party figure, which I think was either Klaatu or Cesium... I also want to point out that my modification did nothing to fix that gap. I'm not sure what's causing that. Could be the gear not sitting all the way flush on the peg, as it's a very very snug fit.

 

Does this guy come with batteries? If not, what will I need to buy?

 

Comes with batteries. But if the button is depressed during transit you may have a dead battery. Think they’re lr44s

I've been considering that too. If you decide to get it, please let us know if it does indeed fix the issues of the original! Reading further through this thread, it doesn't really sound like it, but still...

With the fully unfurled g1 toy style the backpack can't peg closed but they're not gonna drop off.

Condition of styrofoam: heavily damaged/broken to bits at the backside at the height of the lower legs.

 

I think this is why a lot of Gabriels have moisture not saying that every factory or all of the inventory was stocked like this until they were boxed but it sheds a little light on the moisture. You can see the cardboard is damp or at least it looks like it. Even with some of the problems I'm hearing I'm not deterred I cannot wait to get mine I preordered from TFS a little over a month ago they did not get their stock in yet hopefully I get one with no problems but if I do hopefully TFS will take care of it

 

I don't see why this is the reason for moisture. The carboard's shape is normal consider how heavy Gabriel is --- each cardboard is holding at least 4 or 5 Gabriel, that's 20 KG.

 

I noticed a bit of stiffness in the shoulder ratchet today. Applied the silicon spray... Now so easy to move and pose and I have no fear of breakage!

 

Yeah I understand that they are heavy but look at the cardboard on the second row that is not bent & it is holding the same weight & even if the boards are not wet look at were they are stacked for all we know this could be next to a open door or window while it is raining. I was just trying to offer an idea & give my opinion of maybe why it's moisture in the box like everyone else who is grasping for answers all I'm saying anything is possible.

 

I've spent more time with mine. Wiped it down with disinfectant wipes, gave it some time to dry. Tried a few poses and then tried to transform it and that's when things went downhill in a hurry.

1) The ratchet at the base of one of the claws is completely destroyed. There was a piece of black plastic in the styrofoam under the claw, so this was broken out of the box. As such, it hinges freely and cannot hold any weight.



2) The figure's left shoulder is completely and utterly seized up. I rotated it out and away from the body once for a pose, but it will not rotate back in towards the body at risk of snapping the surrounding plastic. The other shoulder works ok - in fact, it might be slightly too loose.

 

I heard from my retailer today and apparently DX9 has been less than forthcoming with addressing these issues, so not entirely sure what's going to happen with my broken one...

 

Just waiting for Jack from Toydojo to get the test piece to check fitment. If all good should have these available next week.
