Where is best place to get Gabe from? Do I go overseas or should I use a US retailer?
At the moment I like the overall presentation of Gabriel more than Terminus. Gabriel feels heavier but he's easier to carry around as a whole because his legs don't flop, unlike Terminus.
U carry them around? U mean like this?
Anyone know when TCP expects to have their stock in?
The first time I saw TG in person, honestly my first reaction was to pick him up and hug him.
By the crotch. One hand ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)
anyone had a chance yet to take a set of calipers to the chest cavity?
need the vertical, horizontal and thickness dimensions if you can so i can get you guys the insignia.
Just an update. I installed new batteries from Amazon yesterday and now both LED lights in the arms work. My Gabriel is near perfect from Bababoo. He just lowered his price as well by $10. Arrived to me in 6 days..
NEW Transformers toy DX9 D12 Gabriel G1 Omega Supreme INSTOCK All set instock | eBay
In stock at agabyss! just ordered one.
Damn you Canada Post Richmond BC sorting facility!! Customs released it back into your custody Thursday morning. Why hasn't there been any movement since?! I needs my Omega Supreme Holy Grail plastic crack fix!!
They are helping you dry it out.
Damn you are in Indy too, maybe I should cancel my order w TFS to procure him a little sooner...
In stock at Agabyss, if anyone is looking for another US retailer. Trying to decide myself whether to jump in for a 2nd OS or hold out for Sentinels.
I ended up cancelling my preorder until more in hand reviews come in regarding the condition of the figure. Definitely need to see if there is reason to wait for a restock or if the wet figures, bad electronics, overly tight joints are nothing to worry about. I have no issues doing a little fixing, but if I can minimize the amount of work I have to do on a $300 figure, I'll definitely feel a lot better about the purchase.
I'm in the same boat. I'm sure I'd be perfectly happy with one now, but I'm trying to exercise some patience despite foaming at the mouth at all of the awesome pics people are sharing.
Plus, it's not uncommon at all for UT/Dx9 to make improvements on future runs of a figure, such as Provider getting an extra face, Chigurh coming with ratcheted hips, Hanzo's shoulder joints being improved, etc. I wouldn't be surprised if a future run of Gabe had mirrored chest pieces too.
The electronics aren't bad. The issue is that the battery that they come with is empty. Changing the battery is all it takes, the battery costs roughly $2.4 (at least in Poland).
The overly tight joints are an issue of lubrication (shoulder ratchets) or the spring being blocked for some reason (perhaps atmospheric conditions?). To unblock the spring you just need to unscrew the ratchet, move the spring a bit, and that's all.
The elbow/pulling off of arm issue is fixed easily using a slightly larger screw. Some lube on the elbow ratchet won't hurt.
(most of this has been mentioned earlier in this thread, I can also confirm it as something that I encountered in my copy).
Not in BC they're not. The land of the perpetual rainfall. I kid I kid.
No I'm not.
Guys, time to have more faith in DX9.
Remember this collector has the paint chipping chest?
He got the replacement part! The package must weight 5 KG .
I wonder if I’ll get entire replacement lower legs for the minor paint scratches on both of them.
