Got mine late last week. There is a marred spot on the chest, and the hinge closest to the chest on each arm is a bit loose. Arms sag a bit. Took those apart last night and applied future. Will reassemble tonight. QC issues suck, especially on this guy. So many ratchets, and the engineering is quite fun. Say what you will about the alt modes. This thing is Sixshot. Bot mode is stellar, and the alt modes are nostalgia candy. Really hoping for a reprolabels set to come out soon.
Regarding the hole in the grille, I don't consider it a QC problem since the toy is apparently molded that way and they all have it. It sucks for sure and I don't like it, but it's more poor design than poor QC. Neither shoulder on mine is what I would consider 'loose'. They sag a millimeter or so if I pull on the arm, but I dont consider that a problem.
Unsurprisingly, adding future to the inner most shoulder joint fixed the floppiness. Joint can now sit correctly in position without sagging. I applied future to the axle component, and the hole the axle goes through. Four screws hold the arm in at that joint.
Got mine today and holy shit it's amazing. Other than getting the hands in and out, much more fun than Hexatron to transform. The bot mode and wolf mode alone are worth the price of admission, and the armored car and star fighter modes are pretty good too.
Sorry to respond to this so late but this pic is by far the best representation of his actual color. The other photos and videos I've seen don't even come close to representing the actual color. And that's not surprising. I took a pic of mine on my desk at work and sent it to my friends and it came out absolutely blue in the picture.
Mmm its been quite irritating how difficult it is to show the real tone of the figure. Mine now sits comfortably alongside my Carnifex and my MT gestalts. Still a lovely looking bot he is.
That's tempting. Hope the cleanliness of the plastic is better than the blue ones. Lots of marks and scratches on mine straight out of the box.
Well as I was TFing mine I noticed something shiny pop off. Turns out the head of the screw in the arm came off. I tried messaging DX9 on Facebook but no response yet. Any one ever been able to contact them directly for parts? I just need a replacement screw. All four would be nice as the three were semi stripped to begin with.
I'll probably hang onto the blue one regardless until Fans Toys drops Hydra and we can see whether it is vastly superior to Hanzo or not.
I could be coerced into another Sixshot... I have a G1, Hexatron, and Iron Factory... Only 3 more to go! One for each mode. I am very interested in Ft's version.
I have the Justitoys one, IF, Titans, And DX9's on the way. I have no attachment to the anime iteration as I never watched Headmasters. I just think he's cool.
Loving those toy colors. The other modes might be debatable, but the wolf mode is hands-down better than FT's IMO.
