thats an awfully low expectation. I bet it gets shattered.

Better to aim low than aim too high, makes it far less disappointing if you don't meet your predictions

After Evan Almighty tanked so hard, no studio wants to over-predict this summer.

    Transformers will be better than:
    -LOTR
    -SW
    -Wiz' of Oz
    -Gone w' t' Wind
    -Matrix
    -Indiana Jones
    -Passion o' t' Christ
    -Potter
-and any other "best movie ever" that has ever been, or ever will be, released.

that's my prediction. if y'all don't agree with me, that's your opinion, and doesn't affect me a bit. I have total faith in the success of the franchise as a whole from here on out. TILL ALL ARE #1 (... at the box office)

Ok, it'll do better than the Potter & Indy movies, but I doubt it'll make more than the rest.

Gone w/ t' Wind still tops the "all-time" box office charts when you adjust it for inflation at $1,329,453,600 domestic. Global box office (again adjusted for inflation) comes in at $5,535,890,838. Those are billions in case the numbers throw anyone off.

Yeah. Not gonna beat that movie.

You missed what he said. "adjusted for inflation" You cannot compare dollar for dollar over so many years.

There's another studio predicting it'll do no more than $70 million this week.

Keep in mind, it did make rougly $8 million on Monday night alone.

I think he meant in quality...

Big difference between a good movie and how well a movie does at the box office.
