if there smart the will release the regular version now with the walmart extra episode, then 6 months from now they will release the extended edition because more of us probally would buy both then LOL
I'll be buying the regular DVD version and watching it on my upconverting player. 56" inches of DLP + OP = multiple viewings required.
For those wondering if it's legit, I saw a Wally World plan-o-gram for the TF movie products and it did say that October was the release date for the DVD. Unclear if its the "Special Edition" or not. I wouldn't put it past Paramount for the old release just the basic DVD first, then a Special Collectors Edition a little bit later. It's what they did with the Star Trek films.
Seriously people, do you think that the DVD will come out only 3 months after the film was released in America?! I'm sceptical at best for the release date being in October, and if it is released in Oct., then it would probably only be the movie itself without any special features, behind the scenes, the trailers for other films, or anything else. It may have comentary, but almost every DVD nowadays has comentary. I personally will see if the date holds true or not, and if it does, and is only the film itself, I'll wait until the collector's addition, or special edition to buy the film for myself. If you all don't agree with me, I don't really care because I'm not the most trusting person with people, or big named companies that think because they release a movie that I've seen 3 times (4 when it hits IMAX), means I will buy a DVD that was rushed to the market so they could claim that Transformers set a record for DVDs purchased in a week (I highly doubt that any DVD sales this year will break the record that 300 set).
They could very easily have all the extra's done by then. They did already release the books about the making didn't they? And heaven knows they got impatient enough on releasing the movie and ended up bumping it 2 days earlier than planned. Maybe we'll get lucky, and Bay will talk them into releasing it when the IMax run is over. General rule of thumb is 4-6 months. Also, I never bought 300, but am buying this. So that's already one sale 300 never got.
Is their going to be a 2 disc edition out as well? I cant wait to watch this movie on my HD TV. I know it would be even better to watch the HD version on a HD TV but I dont have a HD player yet so.
