One word that stood out to me on Barricades profile was duplicitous. The definition is deceptive (decepticon lol) which got me thinking.

Taking the concept art to consideration, what if Barricade can change his appearance to an Autobot and a Decepticon?! Meaning his face and body?

This will bring a big advantage to achieving his plans and getting away with a lot of bad things.
Well that's my thoughts lately since Hasbro didn't share a close up of his face for a reason.

Let me know what you think.

I think it's just pointing towards the fact that he's a bad dude and his alt-mode's a police car.

That irked me too, I hope it doesn't mean anything.

It would be pretty cool to see Bumblebee go kill-crazy apeshit on his fellow teammates only to discover he was actually Barricade in disguise.

I don't know how a close-up of his face would determine that. Regardless, while I think a 'Con disguising himself as a 'Bot is a neat idea, I think the description more likely means he'll be using his alternate form to fool humans.

Well Barricade's new motto is "Keep Calm and Hail Megatron," so I suspect he's probably still loyal to the Decepticon cause. Although you never know.

"Duplicitous" suggests to me that Barricade has or had dealings with someone or something else other than the Decepticons to stay alive and get fixed up, whether it's a faction or an individual. Maybe KSI or some evil humans repaired him. Maybe it was the Creators or some other third party alien or Transformer.

Heck, what if it was even Sqweeks or an Autobot who repaired Barricade before Barricade joins the bad guys again? That could be pretty wild!

For instance Hound and Crosshairs are final artworks and we get a close look at their face. Barricade may be a character that changes his facial appearance from drone to Decepticon. Refer to Red Goblins ps edit.
Yes, but I believe they may go with deceit.

He must be really upset over what happened in Chicago and will use his new body to his advantage. One question is who rebuilt him and why? If his spark is still intact it wouldn't surprise me if he tricks the humans and Autobots.

Barricade doesn't necessarily need to be rebuilt. Cybertronians regenerate.

Barricade strikes me as a "corrupt cop" archetype, where he acts with authority but abuses it to do whatever he wants. So yeah, I think he's being duplicitous in a sense.

Let's see how the story plays out though.
