I went to a men's retreat last weekend. One of the activities they offered was duct tape sculpting with coffee and soup cans. After I got done taking a nap :)  I had a half hour to work on something. So I grabbed a few TFs out of my car and came up with this :D

I used some smashed cans covered with duct tape to make the area Lockdown's standing on. I was planning to put Bumblebee on ground level, but was running out of time. I used a hammer to bang in the side of the coffee can where Sideswipe got thrown into it. The Subway ad is from a cup I got from there :)

    uhm.

    uh.

    wait--a "Men's Retreat?"
And you went? And played with coffee cans and duct tape? After your nap?

And why do I see nothing but girls in the background of a men's retreat?

No no..No man would ever make that up. I'm just frankly surprised it's been admitted to. Or attended..With a coffee can..and tape. Does this even qualify as a custom?

    Why?
Most people would be surprised at grown men that admit to enjoying toys...

You can report it if you'd like and let the mods decide whether or not they want to get rid of it. I've seen other work on here use abnormal materials, though.

Hmm...in reading your opening post, I would've thought that the activity involved making sculptures comprised of cans and duct tape.

Anyway, I'm treating this as a fun little thread.

Are we Facebook friends? Or were you at the same retreat?

It was a very informal activity. When I first heard they were going to do it, I was thinking of making a makeshift DotM Driller, but I wouldn't have had enough time...

    That's all I meant it for :)

I don't understand what's weird about going on a retreat. I'll bet more people do that than collect and customize Transformers...

A fun little diorama, I like how you set Sideswipe into the dent in the can.

What's weird about him going to a men's retreat? He undoubtedly went either with a group from his church or through a church. It's just a chance for guys to get together, study the Bible and discuss things in their life and the practical applications of the Word. I, for one, applaud him for going AND for bringing his 'bots along to play. How many of your coworkers, social friends, etc know that you play (or "collect" but let's all be honest here) with toys? Nothing weird about it.

And nice diorama concept for something you just threw together.

Thanks guys. You're right, luscan,I just didn't want to go into detail because of the sites rules about discussing religion.

Ooooohhhh. A Biblical Men's Retreat..I was thinking it was one of those really weird ones where guys take off all their clothes in the woods and hug each other and speak in tongues and shake and all..

oh, well in that case..fine job on the diorama..Why did you just randomly have those figures in your car? Don't they get a spot for display in your collection?

Oh, and I really like the product placement..helps sell the illusion.
