I think I liked Gyro better when he was more friendly and absent minded than arrogant. But we'll see how it goes. jD001
I think we now have more confirmation at Darkwing Duck appearing in DuckTales, and it looks like he will be voice by none other than JIM CUMMINGS!!!!! Check out this video Disney XD released a few hours ago At 1:29, that looks like Jim wearing a shirt that says "Legends are born in November", holding a #DarkwingDuck sign, and credited as "Cast of Ducktales" in the bottom corner
Good news, I figured they would keep using him as he's still under contract and is the official voice actor of many other Disney Characters. Also I couldn't get Darkwing's creator to confirm or deny it at Dragon con, but he smirked when I asked him about it. He has visited the set and likes what the writers are doing on Ducktales.
He's also currently active within the Disney family. He's had a few roles on the new Spider-Man cartoon already.
So, just got around to watching the first episode on youtube and holy shit, a reboot that isn't garbage but arguably better than the original? Sign me the fuck up!
That's exactly how I felt after watching the premiere! A few people were huffy because the nephews look so different... my point to loving them now is that they aren't mostly clones of each other anymore. I love it. And anything with David Tennant is great, I think. Webby doesn't suck, either. My kids (7 and 9 years old) loved watching it and I loved watching it with them. I expect good things...
If you guys watch the Scrooge McDuck vs Shovel Knight video, the level of depth they go to reveals just how ABSOLUTELY HARDCORE Scrooge is for an old guy in his 150s. Which is amazing considering he basically was only meant to be a proxy of Scrooge from Christmas Carol in the 1947 comic he first appeared in. I think the episode we have so far did an excellent job showcasing how badass the old duck is and how wise he is, too - the 'it's obviously super cursed' line had me in stitches.
Well we got a little more info on Della. And Dewy and Weeby had quite a quest to get it. Though more about Gyro. Looks like his new project may lead to fan favorite character. .....And apparently Scrooge has a habit a hiring the weird personalities.
The interactions between Donald and Beakley were great. I loved how petty Donald was and how the generators backfired on him. The second episode had a lot of revelations. I loved that tease at the end.
Well the Donald/Beakley episode had Mrs. Beakley say a line that explained a lot about her character and how Webby ended up the way she did. Spoiler She's a Spy, or at least used to be
Oh Lil Bulb you didn't have a lot of screen time but I already love you. Scrooge still sounds weird to me but I'll get used to it in time. I have to admit I remember very little of the original series, it's just been too long, but with this second episode man I am getting that same feeling I had when I watched the original. Now the only question is...when's the next episode. I HUNGER FOR MOOOORE!!!
Dear lord this series is fantastic. I am laughing my ass off at this show. So great. "It not for us to understand the ways of the archives.." "That is literally your job!" Also love that the board members are vultures. "How much is this about us doing your work for you?" "About 50%" Dear god she was hilarious. Loved Scrooge's justification to the board on why they shouldn't fire anyone.
It's so rare that I get so hooked on a show so early in. I cannot wait to see the story of what happened to Della.
