I love the diorama with Prime and Bee pulling away all of the debris from Sam & Carly!

*facepalm* you've got to be frikkin kidding me *sigh*

as nice as they look. I just barely bought the Dual Model Kit Prime and have it nicely displayed by my computer.

no freaking way am I burning even more cash on this crap.

And the one they are featuring looks even more insanely detailed than the version released originally???

    *grumble grumble*

There's nothing to grumble about. It's done by a pro modeler. it's a custom. it's not being released. You see this kind of stuff in japanese hobby mags all the time, they take a kit, and enhance the hell out of it.

You can get the hooks, but there's no way to get the prime in the photos, unless you modify one yourself.

The one they're featuring has a custom paint job, I believe. Either way, I was already planning on buying one of each.... but I think it may end up being a few more than that. I've got a few modern military 1/35 dioramas, and I get the feeling that I may be adding a few 'Bots to them.

    Oh what a relief.

I was about to shat myself for being stupid and not waiting for the vastly superior customized version.

Now, if OP would just COME BACK IN STOCK at online retailers, I'd jump on this wagon.
sadly, he's showing discontinued at HLJ(which yes, means that he may come back, but they don't know when), and bbts is up in the air as to when they'll get him back too.
Any other places this kit is available at that I can purchase him? I'd love to build this guy when I get back home from deployment.
shoot me a PM if you've got any info. Thanks!

Kinda pointless to have them in a magazine now that they are no longer available...

The one that comes with the hooks is the same in every way to the one I have.

Your paying 40 extra dollars plus shipping for just the exclusive hooks.

    not worth it tbh.

    np.

The thing is super poseable in so many ways. you just gotta keep in mind a few things first.

    1. This "IS NOT" a toy.

    2. this isn't a snap together or glue together kit. every single thing is connected purely by friction, and pegging into holes and such.

    3. some parts are fragile so be very careful and handle with care.

    4. Keep out of reach of animals and children and also maybe the wife/fiance/girlfriend lol

    Ebay:
I just finished mine without the custom paint and it's still absolutely stunning. If you like movie Prime this is without a doubt highly recommended. A few parts do require glue but over all the kit comes together nice and tight. This is now my favorite from my whole collection even though it doesn't transform.

It look as though the Pro Modelers also have different clear windows and the energon blades seem alot more orange than what i am seeing from real owners.

Interesting how this is a DOTM Prime that if you pay and extra $40, you can get his Energon Hooks featured in ROTF. Sorry Takara, Hasbro already pulled that on us a year ago with HFTD Battle Hooks Prime and Still no Blackout/Grindor to use them on. How about his Battle Axe instead??

Well in any case, im customizing the Bejeezus out of this when i get him, even better than those Pro Modelers!! I see stuff they missed:)

Now if we could get a Decent Megatron to go with this....
