Keep it in mind. I certainly won't be starting with glue, but if it becomes apparent I need it, I'll use it.

For plastic models, plastic model glue (from hobby shops) and super glue are often the best choices.

If I glue mine, I'll probably go with plastic model glue. With this glue, if pieces have chrome or paint on them, it's best to scrape the paint or chrome off at the point where the actual pieces will attach. The glue literally melts the plastic together (chemically) and the paint and chrome can interfere and weaken the bond.

It's also good to poor the glue onto something else (cardboard or what ever) and use a toothpick or paper clip to apply the glue very lightly. Just poring it on directly from the tube usually results in too much and makes a mess on your toy.

But again, I don't plan on starting out with glue. That's just what I'll do if I feel like I need it.

I got quoted 7850 yen (shipped) from AmiAmi, which is roughly $97 total. Not bad at all.

The downside is that it'll take 6-8 weeks to get to me. Oh well, I can afford to wait since I'll be busy vacationing in Japan for a whole month and getting married there and all. XD

I had thought about picking up DMK Prime there directly but I plan to buy a lot more TF related stuff than that and I have only so much room in my luggage to bring it all back, heh. At least this way I have Prime waiting for me when I return!

Anyone got a shipping notification from RobotKingdom yet? They usually have stuff in stock before US retailers so I'm kind of surprised not getting it yet.

This is what I plan to do. I am only getting this to stand there and look cool, the Revoltech Prime will be my fiddle with non Transforming Prime.

Yeah, that shipping box from AmiAmi is unnecessarily massive. That is why it cost so much to ship, but I think AmiAmi only has like 3 or so standardized shipping boxes so they didn't have much of an option.

I have another suggestion that may work. What if you used a type of epoxy putty like Apoxie-sculpt or milliput? I was thinking adding some around the pegs before you slide them into their holes, wait for it to cure, and that would create a more secure hold.

Doh, BBTS is sold out now :lol . I guess I didn't really need to buy this and the redecoration Prime too  . Although I'm going to have some regrets if the redecoration Prime doesn't have a paintjob similar to Buster Prime

This thing is absolutely gorgeous; can't wait to receive mine. Heck, I may have to buy several more to do all the super-detailed and augmented versions.

I really hope that this item ends up being a success for Taka/Tomy so hat they can justify making a TF3 flight pak version, a backdated ROTF power-up version, and then offer all the other major characters like Megs, Sentinel and hopefully even Shockwave.

At the very least, if they don't make the TF3 flight pack, I'll scratchbuild it. :thumb

I got the BB kit to see if I could pull it off. If I can, I want to get Prime. But he's sold out everywhere... Is that it? Or will most of the shops get these back in?
