A few more images. Here's the exploded view of the arm brace/blade mount.

The two front lenses will have different details, should make for a cool effect when lit.

The LED's we're going to use have some serious power to them. 25,000mcd. They will have no trouble shining though the lenses.

agreed just too much for a single piece. and seems like its getting a bit over engineered multiple lenses and all that allot of parts.

I am not offened. I'm married, it takes more than that to get through my armor...

    RE: Crazy-devy,
I would be speechless if we had their level of product sales.

As it stands were are moving forward to the prototype phase and should
have a more solid idea in the next few weeks about costs and fabrication
    options.

Let me reiterate, parts count is not the prime factor for the costs involved with this kit.
Material volume and manufacturing quality are the biggest factors.

If you are willing to do some "resin kit" level work the Shapeways format is a very viable option.

Speaking of a resin kit, have you considered going that route? Could be a LOT cheaper. I'd be happy to at least take it for a test run (printing via Shapeways, cleaning it up, and casting it in clear and white resin). It'd be a bit more clean-up work, but you could probably get it down to $20 including electronics if you sourced them from the right place.

Also, how do you plan to wire it from the LED to the batteries and the switch? As your current diagram is, your LED's leads will meet up with the battery on both sides before the switch.

We're going to run small pieces of wire to and from the switch.

Here's my super technical drawing of the circuit.

I'm certainly open to it. To be clear are you a recaster or are you simply
    recommending the option?

It's not any worse than the ASCII circuit doodles I sent you back at the begining of the
    project.

Glad to have exceeded your expectations.

Tom gets a lot of the credit. He did the 3d work and put up with my being
    a picky bastard.

It came out really awesome. I'll probably go the Shapeways route myself as I'm not worried about lighting it up and could do it myself if I desired but you guys should be proud of this. Pro-level design to say the least. :)  Maybe some without the feature could reduce costs a bit? I can't get over how good it looks.

To help clarify something on the design I am going to paraphrase a
reply I sent to a PM earlier:

"We are not charging anything extra for the light kit.
We will mail it to you free of charge if you order one.

The design has all the parts as integral to assembly.
So there is no additional parts just for the light up
feature except for the top pressure switch button."

So, can we PM you if we would like a copy or is it going to be a bit before you take orders?

Also, is there going to be a window of time that these are available?

Anyway, that looks amazing! I am really considering getting a copy...

I will announce and post all the ordering options here.
There will be no bottle neck on this option kit beyond the fabricators
    capacity to make it.

It will be a few weeks before we can get a prototype in hand.
I will post images of it in use in the Radicons forum to give any
interested parties a better look at what will be available.

    It is for the Voyager/Powerizer.

If you folks like this kit, we have some surprises for you with "Set:B".
Let's just say it will help everyone's favorite tyrant get a bit "Gladiatorial"

This is beautiful! Is there any chance clear blue plastic could be used instead of purple for the cannon's exit point for a more show accurate look? Either way, this rocks all sorts of coolness! How much? Oh, does this fit Voyager Megatron or Deluxe?

EDIT: NVM, didn't see the post above mine until now:p

I actually do a fair amount of prop work; I wouldn't have a problem actually casting this if you'd like, at least to see how the results look.. Shoot me a PM if you're interested; we may even be able to modify the 3D printing model to make it easier to cast (by adding the casting sprues to the initial print instead of having to hand-add them after cleanup.

Yikes! Can't say that I'm interested in this now, that's a lot more than I was expecting, think I'll pass :(

I wish you guys the best of luck, however. You have come up with an interesting concept, I just hope you can find the folks to fund it. Before you get too far along and possibly in the hole, you might want to see how many folks are interested in purchasing your add-on and see if it's worth going beyond the point of no return. It might be in your best interest to stop now or find a way to make it simpler to cut costs if you don't have enough folks to help fund it. I really wish I could help you guys, but I can't see myself paying that much for an add-on. As lame as the one Hasbro/Takara packs in the box, I'll have to make do with that one:/

    PM sent.

    And thanks for stepping up.
Any option to make these more wallet friendly for folks sounds good to me.
