There is concept art in the first post of the thread.
To allay any confusion I have reposted it here as well.

Here are some notes on the progress so far.

I have been tinkering on this and the folded blades will be about 60-65mm
long and the hub will likely not free spin. Turn; yes, spin; not so much.

For this to be installed it looks like the original rotor will have to be permanently/
destructively removed. Yeah I know, no big loss to me either.

To make the legs strong enough for her stand on in "Drider mode" would require
some very large ugly joints. That isn't a viable option to me. So I am working
on two options. Some removable clear clips that will hold her walker joints static
so they will hold her up. And/or: a clear stand that would fit under her and hold
her up in both her "Drider" and helicopter forms.

Which would you interested parties like better?:
    >Clear joint-lock clips.
    >Clear supplemental stand.

i would choose a supplemental stand, the joint lock clips means some sorts of partsforming which is not cool

Definitely prefer the stand idea, as it can be used for the copter mode as well!

    Wrong.

These are tiny, tiny joints made from plastic. Ratchets would not last nor
likely be strong enough to hold the figure up without being very bulky.
These are parts that fold up to be a helicoptor rotor remember, not
    airplane wings.

Here's some new pics that you can hopefully use: http://www.tfw2005.com/boards/trans...-prime-deluxe-airachnid-pictorial-review.html

It looks like the rotor can just be popped off without destroying the toy, so...

    Definitely.

I agree with the clear stand being included. As someone else stated, it could be used in vehicle mode as well, which I think would be really cool.

Yea this project shows potential, I hope it comes to fruition soon. I myself just painted mine up to look more acurate, so having better rotors would suffice

    Yes and no.
The big problem is durabilty and longevity.
For the joints to be burly enough to hold her up they would
fail pretty quickly. Due to the materrials having to be so hard.

We could make one that would work a few times but they would
wear out very quickly under the kind of stress the design would
    cause.
