I believe I have a simple and effective way of giving the Huntress her
travelling legs. I will post some concept drawings shortly.

The main obstacle design wise, is to make sure it will work with the
upcoming figure.

Here we go, the first piece of concept art for this project.
Each segment folds under the previous segment kind of like
"Z" shape. The claw flips over the end of the rotor blade to
help keep it folded in vehicle mode.

 

COOL!!! Can't wait for the concept art!

 

Well, you could do most of the work before the toy even comes out, then when it hits shelves you can just adjust the connection point and size of the mechanism to match the toy. I can't wait to see what you come up with!

 

That is sort of the plan.

 

If it turns out that there isn't an integrated "spider" mode, then you have my attention!

Anyways. The stock deluxe figure does not have the "spider walker" option.
Just some articulated "stingers" from the rotor blades.

The design I am working on will have 6 articulated legs that should reach far enough
for her to walk on but I am not so sure on it making her sit as high as the show.
For that to happen the rotor would be immense. I am still tinkering on what miracles
can be worked.

You're doing some great work here, between this and the Fusion Cannon.

Looking foward to the upgrade!   It'll come in handy for when I get a copy of her.

 

Maybe use joints like Soundwaves' arms to make the blades shorter in alt mode.

 

^ This is an ingenious idea! But lets kick it up a notch, Have there be 3 Propeller blades each splitting in half into two legs each and unfolding length wise to make them longer. Thus retaining the three bladed leg look on her back but also giving her her six legged Alternative bot mode! Any one mind roughing this out?!

Close, but she only has 3 blades in vehicle mode.

The three blades split to become 6 spider legs on the show.
Her robot arms give her the last two limbs to give her 8 limbs
in strider mode.

The rotor hubs will have a hinge at each 120 degree point.
Two of the hubs will fit together to allow the walker legs the articulation
to scissor apart much like on the show.
