It was distributed 10,000 in total to this item in Toys "R" Us.
I confirmed 100 stock in Toys "R" Us of Kameido where I went to.

The name of AIRRAID is listed in the package back side of the AIR RAID with AIRLAID. Probably I think that it is a misprint.

are air-raid and vortex going to be japan releases only?

 

AIRRAID and ARCEE are items for Japanese markets.
I compared the back side of the package.There is not the right notation of companies such as HASBRO in AIRRAID.There is only logo mark of TAKARATOMY and PARAMOUNT in a package.I do not know the existence of vortex. A release schedule after next month is undetermined in Japan.

None on Ebay, none at the usual TF import stores... that thing is awesome, I definitely gotta grab one somehow.

 

I do like the color blocking on Air-Raid.

Can't see Hasbro passing up the chance to squeeze a few more cents from the mold tho.

Store exclusive down the line?


Probably with another Chromia repaint.  

We first saw it a few months back along with a repainted Tomahawk that appears to Vortex.

 

Normally I don't dig repaints but for this one, It's not too bad plus that chromed mechtech weapon looks bling bling sexy.

Does the Japanese SUV "Dread" have a long finger or not ? or short like the Hasbro one ?

 

WOW all of this looks like junk! very bland, not paint detail and looks like a cheap KO. Will pass and spend money on 3rd party stuff like FP and PE and CD.

I hope you appreciate the irony of spending hundreds of dollars on "third party" toys whilst complaining about the lack of paint on $10-$30 toys.

 

Air Raid and Arcee (blue Chromia) were said to be Japanese exclusives. So don't expect them from Hasbro.

Is it a good use of a re-mold? Yes.  

Is it a decent colour scheme? For the most part- it COULD use work.

Do I think "Air Raid" when I see this guy? No.  

Heck between the colour scheme and the crossbow-esque weapon they could have even gotten away with Scattorshot.

Honestly- change the 'bot logos for 'Con's and I'm personally seeing Ramjet more than anything else.

Thats just my   though.
