there are rumors of scans that say it stars Julius Belmont and is titled Castlevania: Dual Moons <-one of the comments in gaf.

cool...so far the only good CV games are the 2-D CV games...

Always going to happen but great news anyway. I just hope they release it in bigger quantities locally.

On the one hand: Yay! More CastleVania!
On the other hand: Am I the only one worried that maybe they're putting these out too quickly lately?

Cool. But isnt it a little soon for another Castelvania DS game?

and a little off topic: I think/hope the whole "We can’t tell you what’s on the next issue’s cover but trust us - we’ve go the biggest scoop of the year so far" is unrelated to the Castelvania game. (Revo news maybe??)

yeah, I would give a lot of things to play ALUCARD again!! best main character Eva... and as for the speed of releases.. I don't think so, look at the release dates of all the GBA Castlevanias... they're all the same time apart and yet every one of them has kicked ass.

1999 in Aria of sorrow and dawn of sorrow its referenced that Dracula's ultimate return/ demise happen. however it wasnt only a Belmont, there was Alucard, goverment comandos, priests (A Belnades I supose), secret agents involed,to seal dracula for good.

Im curios about the backstory of the then young Julius Belmont. and Alucard involment as both seem to seal most of their powers in order to kill dracula before the prediction of dracula's return in 2035, which is Aria of sorrow

Yes, but there's only so long a design team can keep that up and not run out of ideas.

I would like a modern remake of the Original NES version using the DOS engine.

If they do the 1999 battle, I want a Contra-style mode playing as one of the commandos.

That might be fun as a side game... but they've already technically remade that one about a zillion times--there's a Commodore 64 version, the MSX version, the X68000/Castlevania Chronicles version, and let's not forget my favorite level-based CV, Super CV 4 (only a semi-remake, but it stars Simon, so, I don't know what else to call it). Although, I have to admit, it would be cool to see Simon again.

RL: I have to admit, I don't agree that Alucard is the coolest Eva. NES Simon Belmont is the Man. He can defeat Drac despite being portrayed as a sprite colored only with varying shades of brown, with the crappiest, most uncontrollable jump in the series, and he didn't have any stupid HELP ME cheat either. :p  j/k

Back on topic, as long as I can still sell the mountains of useless crap the monsters drop, I'm happy. But I'd rather see Soma or a Belmont game than another Alucard game. Alucard's already appeared as a playable character more often than anyone else (not counting remakes)--CV 3, SoTN, and DoS. (Also a boss in CV Legends, but hardly anyone's played that game, and, no, I don't want to get into debates about the timeline.)

I'd still play it if it starred Alucard, and I'd still like it. I'd just be very mildly disappointed. :D
