i've bought two black ds lites in a row, and had to return them both. the touch screen was dim and the whites looked very brown. has anyone else had this issue? my girlfriend, sister, and friends ds lites look fine. walmart gave me shit the last time i returned one, but fuck walmart! i am not paying 130 clams for a sub-par gaming system.

how are your ds lites holding up?

I got mine when it was first released in Japan... my brother picked it up when he went to Malaysia and it works fine.

I especially worry because its a system bought abroad which means I have no warrenty or guarantee, but I figure my GBA lasted so long without incident my DSL should be fine too.

mine has been fine except for one pixel that doesn't display black in the far far corner. can't even notice it. at 1st I thought it was just dust.

the frist dsl i had had some dead pixels out of the box, but i got it exchanged without problem. since then, its been dandy, apart from a few scratches messing up its nice glossy carapace.

I felt sorry for you until you said sub-par. Now I'm laughing at you. :lol

What is on-par? PSP with dead pixels?

Back on topic, my DS Lite is and has been holding up just fine.

My DS is gathering dust... somewhere.

Maybe on eBay... I stopped caring a long time ago, maybe it ran away.

From my post you should be able to tell I already have.

But you'll get over it, I'm sure, given a quart of Ice Cream and an enema.

I think he meant "sub-par" in respect to the fact that the system isn't working the way it should, not that the system itself is bad.

No issues with mine. You have some bad luck I guess. I usually have bad luck with electronics.

I think it was more a case of trying to find a console bashing insult in the statement. Just so we could have another PSP vs. DS war or something.

Having a PSP vs. DS war would be kind of refreshing right now. Enough about the Wii and PS3 already. DS kicks both there asses along with the PSP.:thumb
