Doesn't surprise me one bit. Would have been cool to see him get a toy at some point, but oh well. I'd rather get a Jazz or Wheeljack instead anyways. They need an update more than Drift needs a toy, imo.
I was actually looking forward to that toy. Now he is useless to me.
I guess it was just hype for AHM.
Maybe next time good ol' Shane will be careful not to put his foot in his own mouth. Not once has Hasbro ever substantiated his Gary Stu's potential existence as a toy...
Aw man! This is bullshit! Such a cool design of which I was so looking forward to owning. How sad am I now
Good. The design team should be more concerned with new versions of Jazz or Wheeljack than some shitty Fan Character who happens to be in an official comic book. Heck, a new version of any of the Throttlebots or Jumpstarters takes precedence over Drift.
I bet his Tech Specs would have all been tens anyway, because Drift is just so awesome, even Prime would transfer leadership to him.
Wait, the source on this is Hasbro AUS. It is possible the Aussie's won't be getting this but the rest of the world will. Wouldn't be the first time... It's also possible Hasbro AUS doesn't know what they're talking about.
Now they can kill him off in AHM.
Wow! not getting a "Fan" toy....
I can think of many more important characters than him....
You know what, this post wasn't worth my time. Deleted.
lol figures it was all BS, how can a character who was in like 4 or 5 panels who never had a proper intro or anything, and said less than 5 words through the entire time he was around get a Toy?
Figures all the hype for this character was all for nothing but to sell a dying comic mini-series.
I think Drift has been a major let down so far. When they first let it out that he was coming to the comic, everyone was all excited. What have we gotten since has been very short scenes that really don't let you know stuff all about him. At least with Sunstorm there was character saturation.
This is an interview with Hasbro - it's not like they haven't given incorrect info in the past.
Mind you - if we don't get him i'm not really bothered anyway.
When was Drift popular?
On second thoughts just read what Gauge1001 said, it sounds better.
When Shane dreamt him up. Now if he was some manner of Transformer otaku instead of being all "BADASS is my personality!", maybe he'd be popular. And harmlessly offensive.
Oh, and he would LOVE Michael Bay movies.
Totally and utterly agreed.
