Looks like MR PEABODY and SHERMAN was good enough for Dreamworks to try animating other old cartoons in CGI.

    Hope it works out.

I do hope Dreamworks will try a different style of animation for Felix like perhaps using CGI that's designed to look like in the original comic style like in Paperman. I just think using regular CGI wouldn't fit Felix he's too bizarre to fit into a more realistic setting for me.

Oh, for a second I read that as Billy the Cat from an old cartoon I watched back in the 90s. My bad! At least I remember Felix and his awesomely magical bag.

Given that Felix was largely a gag-based cartoon, I don't know how they'll be able to give him an adventure. Then again, Dreamworks has given us bad adventure films like 'Shrek the Third,' and 'Sharktale.'

Though one wonders if they would go back to the original Felix, or if they'll include the bag. Supposedly, the magic bag came about in the mid-20th century as an addition to the character. I guess he couldn't just be 'a cat,' but he had to have a gimmick.

nowhere in those links does it say that Dreamworks are making a Felix movie.

What it says is that Dreamworks have acquired all rights to the character which they intend to use as a 'fashion brand'. They have the rights to a variety of characters and properties from Noddy to Dick Tracy, it doesn't necessarily follow that animated movies are moved into production every time they acquire the rights to something.

A movie may well come to pass, but in the meantime why not exercise a little more reading comprehension and a little less jumping to conclusions.

    Good lord.
Hopefully this one will focus on the Black and white Feline with the Deus-Ex-machina Carpet Bag who was the namesake for the Luck Potion in Harry Potter (Felix Felicis) and not some bizarre story line in which he is only a secondary player.
