Good evening. The look I'm going for is a completely repaired Dread team.

After the battle of Chicago, Igor takes over leadership of the Decepticons due to the complete annihilation of every other ranking Decepticon officer. His first order of business is to dispatch Payload, Long Haul and Drop Kick to scour the globe for survivors. Long Haul finds the Dreads in DC at the ruins of NEST headquarters.

Once their broken carcasses are returned to the Decepticons' new base, Scalpel gets to work. Irony is not lost on him, so he decides to remold Crankcase and Crowbar in the likeness of the bot that destroyed them, albeit with much smaller local camouflage modes.

He upgrades Crankcase with arm-mounted melee weapons, new blasters that can merge to a single rifle and newly designed spear bombs.

Crowbar receives a more functional set of dreads and can now utilize them as short-to-medium range melee whips along with permanently mounted ranged weapons.

Hatchet was the worst for wear, so there was not much left of him to salvage on the parkway. As such, he gets resurrected as a much smaller scout chassis.

Here is the WIP thread for these three guys.

This was all very trial-and-error, so I don't remember everything I used. The donors included multiple TFTM DLX Barricades, DOTM DLX Crankcase, DLX Stockade, multiple Recon Ironhides, Voyager Shockwave, DLX Laserbeak, Cyberverse Hatchet, DLX Ravage, etc. All of these guys are fully transformable with no parts-forming.

I'm really happy with the scale of these guys. I just picture their alt-mode pickups as smaller trucks; like F150's. Hatchet's scale works perfectly... if you think of his alt mode as a black Mazda 3 hatchback.

Let me know what you think!!!

    ...first!

Now if I could be serious for a moment, I really like how you've repurposed these guys, and that tentacle pic is hilarious. :)  I'll be checking out your wip threads shorty, but given Crankcase's larger body, have you thought about giving him longer dreadlocks? Like, this isn't to say that they look bad now, but just an idea to go with his added bulk.

    Poor Sideswipe :(

Great job! I think my only suggestion might be to add something to either Crankcase or Crowbar to further differentiate them. :p

Nice job with the Crowbar head. I wish I had thought of that.

The current Dreadlocks just perfectly fit in his altmode. I mean, there's literally no more room in there. I'm sure a better customizer could come up with a solution, but I'm not very good at this. Maybe if I ever try a Leader dread, I'll give that a go.

There are lots of little subtle things about the two, but I could probably differentiate them, more, honestly. Thanks for the suggestion. These are a Christmas present, so I had to cut them off at some point.

Thanks! I think I'm going to give that a little more paint. I can't quite make out his mouth in these (crappy) pics.

Thanks! The whip thing is just so natural. I can't believe that they didn't go with that in the movie. A couple of them even come off in the movie.
