that's pretty cool. it seems fairly straightforward, the head/neck area splits into the legs, the front legs swing up and back to be the extra arms, the back legs are just the arms and shoulders, and I guess his head comes out his ass.

Yep, that was pretty much his description of the transformation, minus the "head out of the tailpipe" part, hehe. I was biting nails before I started sketching thinking, "how in the heck does THAT work?" haha. But it worked out okay in the end, I suppose.

    A transforming Zoid, awesome.

Edit: I think you missed a piece on the left shoulder joint. Look at the shoulder joints starting at the yellow nub and go outwards.

I thought the same thing at first, but it is slightly different. I would love to have that as a CP though.

Man, it's always a pleasure seeing your stuff. I'm a big fan of your straight-up G1 style, but love seeing this different stuff also.

I'm feeling the Zoid vibe too...and the recent TCC preview has me seeing a little Transtech also, with a Liokaiser head. Not sure if that's what you were going for, but either way, it worked out.

Nah, I wasn't going for that. I drew this guy with no reference at all, other than the liger zoid pic. Not that I wouldn't use reference if I had it, but I don't own any toys and i'm not that familiar with the more obscure TF universe. Obscure in this case being anything not '80s G1, which is about the extent of my in-depth knowledge. And even THAT'S limited to the cartoon and a few comics I owned as a child.

Nice work, dude. Adam showed me this last night, and I was impressed. I love the blue colors. Definitely has a menacing look in alt mode. Great work, indeed. :thumb
