hey guys its my 2nd tutorial! (after the optimus one) the drawing itself is not so fluid, kinda rough, but i think im getting the hang of doing commentary. if anybody catches funkatron, get him to watch this!
That's what I was thinking. The drawing is cool but hearing your voice for the first time was the real show.
Nice tutorial, KA. I liked the Optimus one too. But like the others said, having a voice to go with the face is great.
maybe you missed cuz I garbled it, feet, especially for ladies. if the feet are even just slightly bigger, they look like clown shoes. mostly because of lack of practice where I run out of paper space to draw em. damn you feet!
Yeah, it was a little hard to understand, you said it quickly. Feet get me every time too. It seems more a perspective issue than size. Which I think really becomes more of an issue because my drawings tend to look very stiff and unnatural in its poses. I have to say given your drawing method, and how quickly you draw, you are very good at making dynamic poses.
drawing dynamic poses comes down to basically observation and repetition. you'll find that most poses in comic books repeat itself so its just a matter familiarizing how limbs position according to specific action. for these videos I try to show how you can draw on the fly, but when I'm properly draw something I do fall back to working from rough/loose sketches and developing them.
big and very big.. let's go with big I agree, cool to put a voice with KA. And this whole time, i've been pronouncing it wrong too! Awesome tutorial, man. Thanks for sharing
You're not the only one. I was mispronouncing it until KA put the pronunciation guide in his user title once (or sig, can't remember which).
Dynamic poses like that is still that one hump I'm trying to get over. With a bit of patience, I can do great static poses, but I've always had trouble for as long as I can remember doing dynamic poses. Just need to practice more.
