Draw the World Together is an organisation that has been created to unite arts communities in providing possibilities for children who live in communities where they do not have the opportunity for basic healthcare and education.

Our first project was to enrol comic book artists from around the world in the idea of donating a piece of artwork. These pieces of artwork were auctioned to raise money for the work being done by the charity EveryChild in Cambodia. Contributors to the project included artists David Lloyd, the creator of V for Vendetta (which became a major motion picture by Warner Brothers), Dave Gibbons who has worked on The Watchman and 2000AD and Bryan Talbot the ‘godfather’ of British underground comics who is also known for his work on 2000AD.

“As communities we are powerful. As a comic book community I feel that there is a potential to make a difference. To make a difference to those children in the world who do not have the opportunity to complete the basic education that would enable them to enjoy the books and comics that so inspired us as children, those books and comics that take us into new worlds of fun and adventure. Adventures that express the enormous potential we have as people to be powerful and cooperative within our communities.”
    Andrew Wildman (founder)

As many of you may know Andrew is a well know Transformers comic artist who goes back all the way to the Marvel run and all the way forward to some of the current alternate covers for the ongoing Transformers series from IDW.

Very cool, it's always nice when comic artists work for a charity :)

Draw The World Together, the charity founded by Transformers artist Andrew Wildman, has just started an eBay auction of Transformers related memorabilia. All Proceeds rasied by this auction will go to this very worthy charity, which helps underprivilaged children arund the globe in a variety of ways.

Up for auction are multiple items including a TFCon Exclusive Nightbird Transformer donated by TFCon in conjunction with Iacon North, The Manitoba Transformers Fan Club. Two graphic novels are a part of the auction as well. Both "End of the Road" and "All Fall Down" are the only known copies of these books to be signed by the entire creative team of Furman, Wildman, Baskerville and Yomtov.

As well IDW Infiltration #1 signed by Simon Furman, "How To Draw Transformers" books signed by Furman & Wildman and Transformers hats and T-Shirt from visual effects company VFX round out the auctions available.

Take this oppurtunity to get some special items while supporting Draw The World Together and its work around the globe!
