I've just heard that the combined price of all 3 sets is $298. This is coming from Victorysabre, who's part of the con staff. So it's legit.

This is just utterly ridiculous. I expected a small increase, maybe $10 at most, but this is just bullshit.

$10? Dude, what were ya smokin'?
    BWAHAHAHAHAHA

I'm not surprised to see prices go up, it has been happening at retail for 4 years now. Eventually it was going to start hitting the Club's bottom line and now they are compensating.

I'm actually surprised we haven't seen more of trade off in prior years, or more of a price increase before now.

Have you even looked at the prices for the attendee sets over the years? They have been going up. Just no where near this ridiculous.

Ouch, that's almost as much as a Primus Package, at least you're still getting more than what's in the box set though. I'm curious on what the price breakdown's on each set will be.

yikes, that's about $100 per pack (give or take). Is that pretty much double of previous years?

edit: NVM, maybe an increase of about $20 over previous years?

All 3 Attendee sets= 5 deluxe figures and one voyager and aren't they made in lower numbers than the "proper" convention set?

Con toy set= 1 voyager and 4 deluxes plus con attendance.

As is, I think any big fuss over the price increase is probably not going to change a whole lot unless people don't buy the toys (HA!).

Just going from the prices I'm seeing, not being at the con, I don't see any major "rip offs" going on here. I'm seeing it more as "things leveling themselves out"

For what's it worth, the Primus package gets you a box. Otherwise the loose sets are cheaper. So if you compare, kinda have to compare to the loose set since I assume these attendee only 2/3 packs are bagged?

If anything I guess it makes the sticker price of the box set look much more reasonable. I'm glad that I'm only looking for 1 set this year (the Troopers)

....Too bad you're looking for the set that's going to probably get fully bought up by scalpers on the first night. I think that one will be the hardest to get....at least in the near term.

I feel really awkward saying this but, I'm confused? Is this year worse bang for buck?

I'd argue so, yes. It offers slightly more than last year (simple Ultra and a deluxe swapped out for 2 Voyagers) and costs considerably more.

Have costs gone up that much in one year?

    Ebay:
Maybe it'll deter the 'scalping of convenience' and leave a few extra sets for us poor souls not at the Con.

One can only hope. my true thought on it thought is that Funpub watches after market prices and thinks to themselves, "why not make this extra cash for ourselves by increasing the price at the con?" "After all if a sharticon 3 pack goes for 170 the day of the con why are we selling at 72??" I could be totally wrong on this, but FunPub is a company and is in it to make money as well. Just my pain ridden madness so ya... move along. :p

Right, the dealers are getting first crack at the sets before anybody else, so unless funpub sets a limit then expect them to be sold out before the convention "officially" begins on Friday.

Oh, and expect to see a ton of them coincidentally show up on eBay the same day.

From the sounds of it, this "fan convention" does less for the fans each year.
