Standing in line for hours for nothing doesn't warrant rage? Really?

There's nothing nerd about that. That's called being human.

    I give you Kim Possible

    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yAFQlFN71T4

FYI, the voice of her sidekick Ron did Batman Beyond's Terry McGinnis and is Lion-O in the new Thundercats!

Comparing the two themes, it is MMPR!

I do feel bad for those that paid $75 to wait in line and came away with nothing. If I was in that situation, I'd be plenty pissed, and feel like I just wasted alot of money. But to be fair, the only thing that $75 guarantees is admission into the convention hall. It does not guarantee the ability to purchase anything - that is entirely the dealer's discretion.

Should those people be angry? Absolutely.

Should they be angry with Hasbro or SDCC? Absolutely not.

I wanted to hear someone yell. "I got to get these figures on Ebay to make back my $75."

This is exactly why i said it is nerdrage. The 75 was not to ensure that you would get the exclusive figures it was only admission. All of this anger was just because people could not buy the exclusive figures that night oh well.

Was it a power rangers ring tone that repeated quickly over again?

The anger was for waiting in line for hours and being told they wasted their time.

They did not have to stand in line all night trying to get certain toys. And i agree that they should be angry at elite rent-a-cops for failing to inform people that the line was closed but they had no room to blame and be angry at hasbro.

I agree. I used to go to SDCC every year, but the prices kept raising along with the amount of people they would let in the convention. End result was, I started paying more money for less of an experience. I havent been back since, and after reading about this mishap, Im pretty ok with that decision. Any information that comes out of SDCC I can get at almost the same time as someone who is attending and I can get any exclusives from the show from ebay for a small amount more, which I feel is equal to me not standing in line waiting for this stuff crammed up against other people in a hot environment.

I really dont miss SDCC at all. and $175 for next year's tickets is just ridiculous. That's over 3x the amount I paid for the first SDCC I went to just several years back.

It's blown way out of control and the fans end up getting the short end of the stick.

    EDIT:

Oh, and one last thing, last time I went, I couldnt get in to any of the panels I wanted to see because the lines were so ridiculously long that not even everyone in line would make it into the room, and I refused to waste 2 hours before a panel to see a panel. So staying home, Im actually getting more info than my friends who have gone without me. I even tell them stuff about SDCC that they didnt know.

The charge is to get into the convention

How you spend that time is up to you

Hasbro simply put has too many toy lines that have with huge collectors bases.

Throwing Star Wars fans, Transformers fans, Marvel Fans, Gi joe Fans, and whatever else Hasbro is selling in one giant line is a recipe for disaster.

Every year we get more exclusives that are more limited and it gets worse every year.

Hasbro needs a new solution, fast passes, or multiple lines, less exclusives or something

What Hasbro should have done is. Given tickets to the people still in line that guarantees them a spot in line first thing in the morning.
