Damn you bay, although the trailer looks pretty cool (but so did rotf) I'm pissed to see flying dragons and no Dinobots...Granted, it looked cool as hell thats no bird. The size of the neck is too long for a condor.

Hope he sneaks them Dino's in there!

    It's not a dragon, dude.

Saying it can't be a bird cause the neck is too long is like saying Ravage isn't a wildcat cause he's too spikey.

While some dragons do have feathers I think Laserbeak is based off of an Archaeopteryx.

Looks similar to me. Plus it's an awesome design.

It has metal feathers, which means the metal bits can each form a bit of the car, with the head sliding/folding in. That's probably what he'll transform into. Dinosaurs pretending to fit in doesn't work for Bay, a bird that transforms into a car with metal feathers of doom? Yes.

lol, oh well guys..didn't mean to ruffle so many feathers:)

I guess well have to wait until the movies open or get more info.
As far as the dino's sucking..I guess I can't agrue with someone who don't like them but I sure wish we could get some dino-action in the moive.
Either way I thought the bird/dragon whatever looks badass.

I was pretty supised to see it, so many other things came to mind,
BEASTWARS TM2 Megatron, Beast Wars Neo Galvatron. I don't think its any of those guys but I thought of them before Laser Beak. Ravage/Frenzy in the movie was so small and this looked way to big to be a bird. Regardless it looksed cool and if anything keeps a door open for some Dinobots.

Looks like there are so many Decpticons, were gonna have to see some ass kicking autobots.

    Yeah, just remember the mantra:

we can't have Dinobots because dino modes are unrealistic.

But apparently giant desert scorpions, giant cyclops cats and giant metal birds do blend in with cars and tanks quite nicely.

Exactly. Laserbeak just looks like a really reptilian bird in DOTM. It's awesome, if you ask me.

I believe the idea is that Dinosaurs is too specific. They don't exist anymore. If they were just robotic beasts, then fans wouldn't accept them as Dinobots.

But Scorponok, Ravage and Lazerbeak are just tools/accessories in helping the Decepticons cover more ground in various different way as well as perform specific tasks tailored to them. Those guys don't even Transform or speak(not sure about Lazerbeak) So I assume their the equivalent of animals. The Dinobots just wouldn't make any sense since their Autobots first and for the biggest reason, they can't be done faithfully while pleasing the old fans and getting the new fans to like them.
