Sounds good, I hope we get a good dub of it put on DVD, I've always wanted DBZ dvds but they are just to many to pay for or store.
Wait, 291 episodes of one of the best anime of all time getting shrunk down to only 100 episodes? Shit, that's a lot of filler. Sounds like a good idea. That means we won't have to watch full episodes of two characters standing around, yelling like they have to take the world's biggest crap. And maybe Cybertron.
This may be a hellofa idea, I recall back when they just were coming out on VHS, I must of bought 20 tapes just for Sayaman saga, through the Buu saga, waaaaaay too much in between...like back during the Buu saga..it took Goku 2 episodes do go to SS3...but it did have that cool music to go along with it.
Just say "no" to dubs. Right now, FUNimation is throwing a party since they're gonna be able to bleed even more money out of the Dragonball franchise. Soon there will be "new" Dragonball Z video games, DVDs, and toys.
Man, if this is the case, I better get a move on in getting those Out of Print Pioneer and FUNimation DVDs.
Truth be told, Vegeta's English voice sounds way better to me than his Japanese one. Smooth, arrogant, awesome. And for that, he gets some of the most choice lines. "No one kills Kakkarot while I'm around, destiny has reserved that pleasure for me" Best. Line. Ever....for him. Most of the English voices were better actually, although Gohan was a bit whiney at first but he got better.
I agree. The English voices sound a lot better. That said...the Spanish voices sound better than the English voices to me. I'll take Spanish or English voices... I can't wait to see this.
I think she voiced Gohan way back when they were using the Ocean Group voice actors. In that case, it's extremely unlikely as even in the re-dubbing of the first couple seasons, they didn't use any Ocean Group people. I could be wrong about that though.
But...I loves dubs.... Anyways, I wanted to roll my eyes at this, but I can't help but be intrigued. I hope it becomes available in the US in some form. I'm really curious to see it.
DBZ is like the WWE. 3/4 of it is two or so people standing around with "intense" expressions, yelling, then a couple of nobodies fight, and twenty episodes later, you are still watching the same thing and waiting for the MAIN EVENT. yawn. i just hope this company has suicide insurance, because the poor lost souls that have to sit there and edit out that filler, will probably shoot themselves after about a week into it. Not their fault; the show just wears you down- fast.
Out of print? Uncut Season 8 box set comes out on Tuesday. They are far from out of print. Unless you mean the older chopped up versions?
I meant the first DVDs FUNImation released before they Re-Released DBZ in shiny BOX-SETS. And yeah, I meant the old and chopped up ones Pioneer released.
Yes, it was. Maybe it'll actually be worth watching the whole thing now, instead of every 3rd or 4th episode. Seriously, pacing was its biggest drawback. A tightened-up DBZ should be no better or worse than your average shonen series. This also guarantees that Funi and Viz will be the only companies left standing after the 2nd Great Depression ends (if/when it does). Bandai appears to be in bad shape right now, ADV's living almost completely off re-releases, and the marginal publishers are still marginal (or less than). -XCN-
