Makes sense get rid of the crap and shorten the fights. Besides they will need to do something so the movie doesn't wreck it's reputation.
As long as they preserve the OVER NINE THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAND! scene, who cares what they do to the rest of it, amirite?
This is most excellent news. Now we can watch DragonBall Z as it was meant to be, I hope. Also, get an english dub done pronto.
I'd move Heaven and Earth for a remake of G1 and Armada. Trim the bullshit, fix up the dubbing and animation, and streamline the storyline into a single cohesive arc. Ah, the dreams of mere mortals.
Wow...I don't know what to say....in fact, I am freaked out because about 20 minutes before this thread was posted, my brother mentioned this EXACT idea with no knowledge whatsoever that it was actually happening.
Not cliffnotes just like it was in the manga with out the additions and changes made so the writer could have time to finish the manga.
Hell, they're probably helping pay for it. XD It should be interesting to see DBZ with the dreaded DBZ syndrome removed.
This is weird. Apparently Japan never has re-runs of anime, yet in the last few days 2 anime series' have been confirmed as having another run on TV. Don't get me wrong though - I'm all for a remastered/shortened run of DBZ
this sounds awesome, if they were to be dubbed in english and then released I would consider getting them all on DVD. I mean even the Buu Saga and all its misjointed plot has to be better than the movie thats coming out this April.
