Episode 66 review where the writing was as bad as the art and fight animation were good. Prime Reactions Review – Dragon Ball Super 66 (Future Trunks Arc #20)
Well this sucks. We went to watch the final four episodes to the Black Goku arc and neither my PS3 or PS4 would play Crunchyroll. I made it to the first 3 seconds of the opening song on the PS3 before Crunchyroll crashed while my PS4 couldn't even log into PSN.
It's over. I thought it was a bittersweet, if rather complicated conclusion. Spoiler Zamasu destroyed EVERYTHING, only Trunks, Mai, Vegeta, Goku, Bulma and the Kais were left. So Goku had no choice but to call the King of Everything to eradicate him. And it turns out, this is another King of Everything from the future era, so Goku brings him to his own timeline to meet his own King and the two hit it off well LOL. And future Trunks and Mai went off to another timeline, one where everyone was still alive and there was no Zamasu or Black Goku; Mai wanted to see her friends alive and well again and Trunks agreed to take her to a new future. I wish they could have stayed in the present with the Z-Fighters, but this sounds a good option for them too. Here's a chart that explains how things stand. Timeline chart • Kanzenshuu This is what happens when you start to time travel, multiple parallel timelines pop up. But now there's a new arc coming up. Spoiler Get An Early Look At Next "Dragon Ball Super" Arc Hit returns, and it seems he has agreed to take out a contract on Goku! Also, Arale Norimaki returns and Chanpa orders a baseball game! The classic mix of humor and action seems to be coming back. I think this will be more entertaining than the Black Goku arc.
The way i understood it is that Trunks and Mai will actually go back to the same timeline but earlier
I am not sure how to interpretate the whole thing Whis explained but...ok. Arc is over. Was good, I enjoyed. Had its ups and downs. Man, Final Boss Samazu was terrifying!
the most surprising thing to me is that the supreme priest guy is whis/vados' father...i was expecting older brother, if anything......
I can't believe some people are actually still enjoying this series. Seriously, this last episode was terrible, no one can deny that, and it's been like that for pretty much the entirety of the show.
Yes but now if we ever go back to check on them they'll be two of them. Eh at this point I would have just kept them in the present. Just give them a house somewhere in West City.
Review for episode 67 where Future Trunks' anticlimactic win is anticlimactically invalidated for no reason and you can survive time travel just by hanging onto the time machine's legs. Prime Reactions Review – Dragon Ball Super Episode 67 (Future Trunks Arc #21) Did this need 21 episodes? The answer is no, but I'm sure Toei's enjoying your money anyway.
I'd have liked them to stay too, but two Trunks/Mais running around is more than Toriyama can manage, and anyway Mai said she wanted to be in a timeline where her friends were still alive. It's explained here: Why didn't Trunks stay on the main timeline along with Vegeta and others? • Kanzenshuu
I like it as its own thing. I'm not a fan of it when compared to the original Manga. I look at super like I look at GT. Both are alright (not at all great compared to the original source material) but fun as their own thing. The best arc we've had so far in this series was the multiverse tournament. The stuff with Future Trunks isn't as good, but I did like seeing him again.
