I wish there were a way to buy it unpainted. The paint on the Wheeljack head is the only thing I've been disappointed with, quality wise, from Dr. Wu, and I've bought pretty much everything.
I hope they're not all as horribly painted as that picture on the page. And what's with the mouth? It's all mushy and not well defined. Not sure if I want this anymore.
yup. I agree with the consensus here too. as much as I was hyped to get my hands on it, it's not really that impressive anymore. sure the sculpt is acceptable, but the same cannot be said about the paint. oh well...
Nice sculpt but yeah, the paint is a bit rough and haphazard (similar to Wheeljack's). Nothing a little metallic silver Sharpie won't fix (like I did with WJ's face) but for the price point I expected better paint so we don't have to fix it ourselves to begin with.
Wow, that really is the worst paint job I have ever seen on any TF product that was being sold commercially. They could have done better, or at least refrained from the close-ups to make it look worse?
Got this in the mail today. The paint job on mine is nothing like the posted pic above. The lines are much straighter an it doesnt look like a 3rd grader painted it. Im adding the smaller details to mine now. ( such as the silver side vents , an the darker grey along the sides of the helmet ) I think it was worth the small amount that I paid for.
I would but I have yet to figure out how to post pics. I think I need to learn as theres alot of pics I would love to show guys. *Edit* I could tell you this much , If you have the TT FE OP, like myself, then this head may not be for you. The blue that they based this on is more of the same color as the American/ Canadain release.
Wake me when the guns and sword sets are ready too, so I can actually make a substantial enough order to justify the shipping. And count me as another who's baffled by that terrible, godawful picture that I can only assume is actually supposed to make one WANT to buy this thing.
^ I got mine off eBay. They're pretty nice quality; good paint, and the swords are hard (none of that bendy rubber plastic with the official toy). I recommend them.
Thanks for the info. Nothing left on eBay, but I was able to find the gun, blaster, and maskless face on Acestoystore.
