I couldn't find a thread about this. If there is one please merge this one.

I got this in today and took a could pics of it.

The fit is perfect. You will need a nice small screwdriver to replace it, but I imagine anyone interested in this already has the tools for it.

I did need to remove a little flashing around the eyes, but it just scraped off with a little screwdriver.

The head looks really good, I do think it gives a little bit of a stereotypical alien face the way the eyes look. I'll probably add some paint to the pupils in the future.

I do question why they went with a flat grey for the ear-wings but it's not a deal breaker for me.

The grenade slides neatly in one of the cavities on the back of the hip and the small autobot symbol is a nice add on that finishes it off.

Overall I feel it was worth the $20 shipped to have a mask-less version of Wheeljack.

I got this kit the other day, and it's pretty good. The whole package really feels like a garage kit... which I like. The weird cheek bones look not as weird in person. For mine though, I can't screw the screw all the way, or else it'll crack (it already did, but it still works) I just have to not screw it all the way in.

All in all, this is a good set. Dr Wu is the man.

This was going to be my first Dr. Wu purchase...but seeing better pictures of it has changed my mind. Looks more like something we would see on a Mega SCF figurine (in terms of the rubbery material) than an actual Transformer.

Thank you for posting your review and the additional pics.

thank you for the review. I ordered one and waiting for it.

I have Wheeljack here but he's still in the box, I'll open him up once this kit arrives. btw, watching the video reviews of this awesome figure sure makes it tough for me to keep him in there!

Funny thing is, it may look rubbery but it's actually solid. I don't know if the sculpt of the face looks soft but trust me, it's not soft in the least bit.

Open that bad boy up! He's suffocating in there!

That looks nice! Hopefully Dr. Wu does a mask-less version of Optimus as well.

Thanks for the pics! I purchased this set also, but found the set lacking. I love the face sculpt, but like you said the dull gray ear wings (which on mine were atrociously painted and had to be touched up) are off, on mine I very quickly broke the handle on his bomb when I couldn't find an adequate storage location, and the fact that the screw won't seat all the way were all disappointments. For the price I was expecting more and just ended up feeling... deflated. Glad those who bought this set and are enjoying it speak well of Dr. Wu. For my money though... next time I'll most likely pass.

I broke the grenade within minutes and I don't consider myself heavy handed with TFs, but I love the head and that's what the money was spent on. Great set, nicely presented.

while I usually prefer matte colors, I'm pretty put off by it for this release.

I know I could use a silver sharpie or paint, but there's so much stuff being released this month and next that I think I can wait on it.

I'm enjoying the set, but I already put my own reprolabel of an autobot logo on him.

Medri Fogmatio is that a different autobot symbol than what came with the set? Yours looks to have a white background, mine has a clear background as was more like a rub on decal. Just wondering.

Thanks got my set today and was wondering how to do it? This was very helpful. No broken grenade for me and my screw went in all the way tight. The Autobot logo is perfect size. No flashing problems here. This was my 1st upgrade kit and I am very satisfied recommended highly to all.

    Dr. Wu ROCKS!!!!

hahaha! no worries. last time I checked, these robots don't need air as they don't even have noses!

but, just in case, they do breathe air, I've punched small air holes to help out!

The grenade doesnt tab tightly to the groove at the lower back in robot mode, so when you transform him into vehicle mode, you have to remove the grenade. If I have to leave him in vehicle mode, I'll just leave the grenade at stowed bottom, prevented from dropping off by the twin swords tabbed at the bottom of the vehicle.
