Fuck yeah. Kind of sad to see they didnt do better with hiding the hands on the hooks.

I kind of like these SS voyagers. They keep me from getting into the MPM's and OS. Ill be grabbing an OS Blackout, though.

Nice sets, but I thought they will come in one single pack, not in different sets :(

I've always thought the "hook" weapons to just be the swords worked down and melted after providing a beatdown to Starscream, Megs and Blackout. Like they aren't intentionally hooks.... just my :2c:

Not bad at all. If these are going to be separate things they better be under $10 a pop. Now an Arsenal bundle option would be lovely.

I believe they're Energon based. The sword returns in AOE during the Galvatron highway battle just before Lockdown kidnaps Optimus and Tessa.

SS Optimus is the biggest disappointment in the line. The toy is too small, the hue of red is off, and the figure just comes off as bland. Nothing about it pops. Blackout is incredible, though. This series is really hit or miss.

He used them in Shanghai to cut his parachutes and he threw one of the swords into Grindor's knee without getting it back before using the hooks, (though I wouldn't be surprised if he has an infinite supply of swords in his arms) so no, they are separate weapons.

Surprisingly popular misconception; his melee weapons are not made of Energon, just superheated to the point of being orange-hot. They always consistently cooled down to a gunmetal shade whenever he dropped, threw, or otherwise was not holding them.

Hmmph I don't remember it. I guess I'll have to rewatch AOE.

He doesn't drop it in that movie, the only time we see it is when he pops it out and immediately heats up; the last we see of it is it breaking in Galvatron's chest-mounted garbage disposal. You can see the swords cooled down when he throws one at Grindor in ROTF, mounted in his armored weapons ring at Chernobyl, when he throws it at the ground for no reason after fighting the Driller, and on the ground (as well as the axe) after he unloaded some fusion-powered buckshot into Sentinel's cranium in DOTM. Maybe a few other scenes I'm forgetting too.

EDIT: Did you mean not seeing the hooks in Shanghai? Cause that's in the beginning of ROTF, Hong Kong is the location used in AoE. :D

Looks great. I missed out on Last Knight Prime and Hound’s upgrades. Now where is Toyhax with those blue door flame stickers.

Do you own Optimus? I felt the same way but decided to buy him on a whim and he ended up being one of my favorite figures so far. If you don’t own him I’d say he’s the type of figure that looks a lot better in person than in photos.
