    This has been bugging me for a while, what is the symbol on Dr. Manhattan's forehead mean/represent? Is it an actuall symbol or just made up? Somebody please help me before I go insane over this issue.

    As Doc himself mentions in the graphic novel, it's a hydrogen atom.
