since we wont be paying that much for the game, hopefully the d/ls are free too...
But, how much would they cost in Japan???
MSRP is $60
And that's for a DS game in Japan. Doesn't surprise though, Japanese will pay anything for a new Dragon Quest. Mix together the depth of a Final Fantasy RPG with characters designs by Toriyama and some Japanese humour, and you have a product that can't possibly do any wrong in Japan.
Dragon Quest V will soon be released stateside for the DS in Feb. Personally, its the best Dragon Quest that has been released and back when it was originally released in Japan on the Super Famicom (Japanese SNES), it cost $125. That wasn't for a collector's edition or anything, it was only the game, box, and manual, nothing special. Enix charged as much as they could get away with.
