For this custom project, I used Cybertron Ultra class Cryo Scourge. Before the hard work, I first removed the larger, middle head of his beast mode and the beast mode middle chest part/robot mode front waist part and sanded down his beast mode claws to make them more pointed and sharp.

    STEP 1: Tail/Axe to Blaster Weapon (Doublecross_001, pic 01)

To make the handle, I used 2 cut-in-half offed joint shafts from an old Beast Wars Transmetal 2 Ultra class Tigerhawk of mine and ran a nail through them as I glued them together. Once it dried, I sanded it down it make it fit onto his robot mode hand. Then I cut/sanded off the rear light blue spike of the axe and make a hole through the plastic and hammered and glued the handle into the hole (Doublecross_001, pic 02). Once it dried, I screwed all the parts back into place and made I a hole at the front with a small drill to create the barrel (Doublecross_002, pics 03 & 04).

STEP 2: Beast Mode Front Feet to Hands

To modify the front feet into hands, I carved/sanded down the beast and robot hands and cut offed the short shaft on the spikeless forearm half to make it loose enough to flip out the robot mode hands when transforming to robot mode (Doublecross_003, pic 05). Then I switched around the half of the forearms that has the small spike (Doublecross_003, pic 06). The result is working beast mode hands with the spikes serving as the thumbs (Doublecross_003, pic 07).

    STEP 3: The Twin Heads

I modified the heads by unscrewing the heads in half, carved/sanded of the middle of the head crest to create the appearance of twin horns (Doublecross_004, pic 08), and screwed back both halves of the head without the spring to keep is mouth(s) closed (Doublecross_004, pics 09 & 10).

    STEP 4: The Wings

For this step, I used wings from Beast Machines Nightscream (Doublecross_005, pic 11) and it was a LENGTHLY ONE!

    1) I cut/sanded off the top part of the large first spike just above the arm and drilled a narrow hole in (Doublecross_005, pic 12). I also cut/sanded of half of the second spike so that the wings could be screwed of and removed without the spike blocking it (Doublecross_006, pic 13). Then, I cut/sanded of the edges of the holes so that the wings could be removable (The bottom projection on both parts broke so I glued them back and placed a safety pin through as a reinforcement) (Doublecross_006, pic 14).

    2) I cut and sanded the short shaft on the lower orange joint of the wings and placed a long screw in the joints screw hole. The head of the screw had to be cut off for this. Next, I screwed and glued the wings on to the large spike (Doublecross_005, pics 11 & 12).

    3) I cut/sanded of the bulges of the wings' brown part so the wings themselves could swing back and forth (Doublecross_011, pics 24 to 27).

    THE FINISHING TOUCHES:

I sanded off a small upper section of the chest to place an Autobot sticker symbol (Doublecross_009 to 011, pics 20 to 27), painted the red eyes of his robot mode blue (Doublecross_010 & 011, pics 22 to 27), and drilled a small, shallow hole on the left side of his back so that the handle of the blaster/axe could be place through there and thus act as a mount for the weapon (Doublecross_011, pics 26 & 27).

In Doublecross_007, pics 15 & 16, my Doublecross can walk on all fours. But as you can see in Doublecross_008, pics 17 to 19, he can stand on his two hind legs because the wings balance out his body. Without them, he'd tip over to the front. Doublecross_012, pic 28 demonstrates the wings as lethal weapons against ROTF Voyagers Grindor and Mixmaster. In Doublecross_013, pics 29 & 30, my Doublecross pins Mixmaster down with his left wings' second finger/pincer ready to shoot him or chop of his head using said pincer and in Doublecross_014, pics 31 & 32, he impales Grindor with his right wings' first finger/claw.

I guess you're probably not going the paint the wings. Well thats cool, I got to say Doublecross looks great and that he looks like he took care of business. So awesome work, fellow Radicon.

Ooh. I'm currently working on a Grotusque out of the same mold and though of ways I could use the same one for Doublecross but still make it different. You've gave me a really good use for that BM Junker I have lying around.

no paint? I mean....wow, this is really impressive, but a fresh coat of paint could really knock it out of the park.

Nice job modding all the stuff to fit the figure. The wings seem to have a different style than the base figure so it seems a bit out of place. Still a nice looking custom.

That looks great - I love a Transformer with an impressive wingspan, and those Nightscream wings look fantastic! It looks good even without a paint job (the wings match really well) - a fresh coat of paint would sell it as Doublecross a little better, but it is still a fantastic custom.

It's good to see that removing the central head on that mold works so convincingly, too - good to know for any future Hun-Grr bashes from that mold lol

Now he looks freakin' creepy. Now that's what I call a Monsterbot!!!

Like everyone else, a G1 paint scheme would truly be the final touch!!
