(First off, if this has been posted before, please merge with existing thread)

When I saw this on the pegs at Walmart, I knew immediatly I had to have it.

Even if it's just a repaint of Sidearm Sideswipe, that doesn't matter.

This toy just oozes beauty and badassery in vehicle mode. the amount of detail that wen into this repaint is no less than fantastic. so many fan wankiness in this sucker. all the way down to the paint selection.

In robot mode, it's beautiful. I for one am a sucker for bright neon greens and the blue. the dark grey breaks it up so nicely too. I can't say I'm a fan of the Allspark Blue Guns though. so instead i use them as rocket engines and keep them pegged to the windows and instead use 2 of my leftover guns from 2 Laserbeaks I purchased the day before. :)  so now sideswipe has his Rocket Pack. :)

    I highly recommend this toy.

my only gripe is because it's sidearm sideswipe, it's got the same legs poseability issues as the Revenge of the fallen Deluxe sideswipe.

Other than that, this is a thing of beauty.

Edit: I also created my own Stealth Mode. :)

Does it have the same head clearance issues as the original release of the mold? I loved sidearm sideswipe but hated how the paint got rubbed off his face when you transformed him.

The head is a tight fit. However, if you position it right it'll open right every time. I've transformed him many times now and have no issues with head clearance or paint rubbing off. I love how when that part swivels around the head is just like "hello" lol

I'm kind of lost, but, what is the mold difference between the original Sideswipe (with the blades) and Sidearm Sideswipe other than the guns? Is the Sidearm one improved? I'm really liking the racing theme TF3 has going.

Completely different figure; Sidearm and original Sideswipe share no parts.

the only thing they share is the inability to pose the legs really well, if at all..

Picked this guy up on a whim when I was at Wlamart for the new HA figures. Love him; he's easily my favorite figure I've bought in a while. His transformation is complex but fun and intuitive and his deco is gorgeous. If you see him, buy him.

I love this Sideswipe. He's totally looking like a 24 Hours of Le Mans car. Just needs a spoiler and he'd fit right in!

I'm actually calling this figure Airrazor, since the back can be folded up into a winged rocket pack, and it's similar in color to the the Blue Angels. :)
plus the way the head is molded it totally looks like Airrazor to me, and let's not even get started on the curves lol.

I really dig mine. I'm a huge sucker for movie Sideswipe, and the SA mold is my favorite version of him. I'm pretty happy that they chose this mold to repaint, though I don't have huge problems with the original deluxe one.

I love the color selection, but I won't deny that I'd have preferred a navy blue just because I'm a Cal grad. I didn't care for the Allspark Blue on the guns or his inner knees either - I had a junker SA Sideswipe, and I switched out his inner knees, the painted hinged chest piece, and gave him dark grey blasters.

Regarding the clearance for his head, for some reason it's a lot better on this figure compared to my SA Sideswipe. It rubs, but none of the yellow paint on his head has scratched yet, and there's very little friction.

I bought this on a whim (was seeking something non-Mechtech) and I'm pleasantly surprised. The colors work, the mold is nice, and the only flaws aren't bad enough to completely ruin it. B+

Bought mine tonight. Very pleased with the paint job, my first time experience with Sidearm mold, sort of a bonus.

I'm in LOVE with Le Mans Sideswipe. I wish our Walmarts stocked him already.

I have to say, that I have the original US Sidearm Sideswipe, and this version. With the exception of his unpainted torso in robot mode, I REALLY like him. I even gave my G2 SS the original Sidearm Sideswipe's guns. Hated the blue guns, too Allspark Blue for my liking to go with the figure.
