Which toyline is better and which do you think will have the most toy sales between the 2?

We're only a few waves into DOTM. Way too soon to judge.

And where do we put the cutoff point for ROTF's toyline?

Considering I just started collecting movie toys and only collected ROTF toys by building it around buster prime, i'd say if you were going for close to movie accuracy and still fun to play with, i'd go ROTF for the most part. I still recommend DOTM leader ironhide and sentinel.

For fun to play with, I highly recommend many of the DOTM toys.

I think ROTF had a better toyline, but DOTM will sell more.
Wait... I forgot about Cyberverse. Sure they had Legends in ROTF, but distribution for those was mediocre at best in my area, but since Cyberverse is its own subline more stores are picking it up. Plus, Commanders and playsets and whatnot. So I change my mind, DOTM is better in my opinion.

So far I've liked DOTM better. ROTF for me got boring real quick, but I also held a grudge on it cause I wanted Universe 2.0 to continue.

It's a bit early, we don't have too many DotM molds to judge yet. In fact, the end-of-the-line molds I find tend to be the best of the line.

Mech tech + smaller size = DOTM fails. ROTF is better for me.

ROTF is more complex and show accurate, but DOTM seems more fun to play with, for the most part. They're both good in different ways (and both better than the first movie line)

we've got yet to see more distribution of DOTM, we've only seen up to wave 3 figures, we haven't seen anything past wave 3 yet.. so far I've been enjoying DOTM figures a little more than ROTF. I'm guessing DOTM has more assortment and more to choose from. Playsets, Cyberverse, etc...

So far I think RotF was the better line. Only time will tell if DotM eventually passes it.

Sales wise? I have no idea.

Good question. I guess only time will tell. DOTM toys seem to be selling faster here than the ROTF ones did.

    DOTM is more fun.

    These are toys.

Toys are supposed to be gun.

    = DOTM wins!

ROTF started off with tat like Demolishor, but finished really well with the likes of Bludgeon, Mindwipe and Seaspray. So far,i am unimpressed with DOTM, only one i'm interested in is Skyhammer. If DOTM does pick up well, we could be in for a treat.

Yeah, not got anything from DOTM yet. Not really grabbed.

ROTF scouts are hard to beat. Though we in the UK may not see HA scouts at all.

As for the deluxes. Meh. ROTF didn't have many good ones. Ice Cream Twins, maybe, just for the novelty. I really enjoyed Rampage and Swerve, oddly.

DOTM, so far, has got nothing I'm interested in. If and when Dino turns up, I may feel differently.

Voyagers - nothing in the main ROTF line (Mixmaster? Demolishor? Pah.) but, oh boy, Bludgeon and Mindwipe are excellent. Do I count Lugnut, too? Three of my favourite voyagers, ever.

DOTM voyagers - again, not tempted. Again, wake me up when we get that rubbish truck or the Decepticon with the long, extendo arms (though they might be the same thing). TBF, Megatron looks neat but small.

DOTM stuff is crap so far. I like my movie toys as in scale as possible but what do I get? A tiny Shockwave, an SUV that's smaller than movie 1 Jazz and an Ironhide with blue jeans that is tall as Prime.

ROTF gave us Leader Prime and SS which are awesome.

ROTF stopped at Wave 5 I think, then moved on to NEST.

I'd say ROTF was better, but some DOTM stuff is good.
