"Fascinating!"

Hey guys, I am very proud to present to you my offering
for the DOTM Sentinel Prime voyager figure: A movie accurate weapon set!

First off, please go out of your way and give Unicron-9
a big big hug and pat on the back for starting me off on this idea.
He was the one that pushed my lazy bum to start on this project,
even though I had no interest in the figure at all.
And even when I was feeling lost and unmotivated, he kept pushing.

Again, I didn't liked the figure when it was released,
but now when armed with the set, I must say he looks really sweet!

The set comes with a shield, a pair of blades and his cosmic rust cannon.
All the pieces are absolutely crammed with movie accurate detail,
so fine that some of it does not show up on the print.

All the weapons can be mounted behind the shield,
and the shield itself can be stored onto the figure's back
or its alt mode in the same way as the stock mechtech cannon.

I made the shield be held by a base unit,
which itself has a 360° rotational joint, so Sentinel Prime
can hold the shield in many ways; facing forward,
flush against his forearm, or when combined
with the other weapon pieces, be held like a huge space cannon.

Assembly



First, you will need to dremel the bottom of the fists so that a 5mm peg can pass through.





Assemble the base of the shield next.
Please ensure that the side pegs of part 'd' goes into the respective holes
of parts 'e' and 'f' before pushing them together,
as the joining peg of 'e', 'f' will lock in place and
it will be hard to remove after.



Attach the shield (part 'a') to the hole on part 'd'.
This peg also locks in place, so do all your painting
and whatnot before this step. You will need to use a little force
as the peg is tight, but the resultant joint is oh so deliciously tight.



Finally, feel free to store the blades and blaster at their
designated spots at the bottom of the shield.



And this is it! I've tested this model on White Strong Flexible.
Detail and Ultra Detail are not tested. I hope you guys like it!

Wow, you're a genius! Would you consider making the blaster bigger for the leader toy?

 

Oh man I want this so bad.

 

Awesome!

Please do one of the following next:

- A "big iron" set of weapons for Ironhide (I prefer leader but which ever one you like)

- Accesories for voyager or leader Prime: shield, handheld sword, guns, rifle. Maybe an axe.

I'd love a jetpack and trailer for weapons storage but understand it would get stupid expensive. Maybe parts to modify existing toys into a jetpack?

On second thought I might get this set for my voyager Optimus so he can use the shield against voyager Shockwave.

This almost makes me want buy voyager Sentinel. (that's a huge compliment, by the way)

It totally made me do it, (I repainted him of course. The mould's actually quite nice aside from the fact he shellforms like crazy) and that was before the physical copies were ready.

 

Same here. Now I can't wait to get my hands on this set and get it painted up for Sentinel.

 

Now we're getting somewhere...This may be the only set I actually anticipated(I'm not saying the rest is bad, but it's just that most of your work are just stuff I have no need for or just not my thing.)

I didnt even imagine it would be this great.
Guys PICK UP THIS SET because it erases most of what sucks about the voyager figure and pops it right on up there with the coolness factor of the Leader class version. In fact, I sold my leader SP knowing this was coming. I'll post pics of mine as soon as I get this and get it painted.

Ironhide weapons - Maybe not. Fans Want It is releasing a set so it doesn't make sense for me to do the same.

Prime weapons - I should be doing the swords and shield in time. Axe too. Guns less likely.

For your last request, won't it make sense to get a Jetwing Prime?

I designed this set specifically for that figure, with the unique attachment base and all, but yes, you can use it for other figures.

Thanks K! I try to satisfy everyone, but it's impossible. Luckily we have a bunch of talented modelers on the boards so there's always a chance of getting awesome things made.
