I think the best solution for that would be redesigning the thumb piece with 2 thumbs :)
I do have cad program I could use to redesign it once I get my computer fixed :(

Mock test, I know this can work on the right arm.

However to do this to his left hand will be more tricky due to the flip out saw blade utilizing the same post as the wrist.

I may try switching the main portions of each hand to the opposite arms to see how that could change up some things.

Each component of the hand has been sanded down to accommodate the extra thumb.

Will see later how to make this work for the left hand.

WOW you are making him look the way he should. I will be using this as a guide for when I do mine. :thumb
Really, other than the legs not being as thin as whats in the movie, this is perfect! And I'd rather have thicker legs than the deluxe's accurate ones since Alt mode looks so much better.

Awesome thanks! I can't see any other way to make his legs any skinnier, but I think the bulk is fitting for the custom.

I have successfully added a second thumb onto the left hand while preserving the flip out saw blade mod!

Just need to paint the extra thumbs on both hands now. Thank you for the suggestion!

Edit: added a fourth photo showing both hands.

The hands on this figure have always been a flaw that seemed unfixable, or at least un-improvable.

You have proved us all wrong yet again with these mods to the hands! These look great and is something that seems small but is extremely helpful in making a morr accurate and awesome figure.

Thanks again. I hope it comes close to what you were wanting or envisioning.
Thank you CJC, strangely the new mods for the hands does make this seem all the more complete than before.

Looks amazing! Wish my Ratchet looked this good!
What did you use for those cylinder pieces attatched to the top of the fold out gun?

Hi there and thank you! I used portions from DotM Dlx Starscream's weapons for his flip out blaster.

    Completed

The additional thumbs have been painted, plus i decided to relocate the light bar behind his head to sit lower than before and is also parallel to the ground per CGI references!

Sticking a fork in this one, he is done! No more modifications, but I will be updating the first post with all new photos reflecting the completed modifications. I may even throw in a few alt mode shots for good measure. Thank you all very much for your participation in this custom project!
