Im really torn, im loving each version of ironhide, but i can only allow myself to get one, and dont know which one to get. part of me wants the voyager class one so it will fit more in scale with ROTF prime. but the other part of me is attrached to the leader ironhide for its bulk, and features, and with the chance it may be a shorter leader class figure ( a la leader animated bulkhead)

    what to do?

Leader Ironhide will probably be the better toy.
Don't ever try to get a toyline in scale. It'll only be frustrating and it'll force you to make or skip purchases that you may not necessarily want to.

Ironhide is 22 feet tall and Optimus is 25 feet. They're pretty close and a Top kick is a big ass truck.

    I'm going leader

For an Ironhide fan, the leader class is definitely the better choice.

I think people are going to be very disappointed with voyager Ironhide and his smaller size once they have him in hand.

I'm hoping leader Ironhide works out scale-wise with some other things, just as some of you already suggested. Does any know know the wheelbase measurements to his vehicle mode?

I'll probably get both at some point, but definitely Leader Class first.

Voyager Ironhide is absolutely tiny and has horrible T-Rex arms with virtually zero range of movement. I will forever be thankful I have had the opportunity to play around with him before he was released so I could realise his flaws and save myself the cost of buying him. He truly is an awful figure IMO.

I'll be waiting for the leader version to see if it's up to the task of replacing Premium Ironhide in my movie Autobot line up.

The figure does appear to be lacking in some respects.

Unfortunately i love the animation model and intend to buy Leader and Voyager anyway.

Being the Ironhide fan I am, I can never have too many Ironhides in my collection, so I'll end up with both.

I know I was, hence why I'm holding out for the Leader.

I don't know if the point is missing or not, but we don't know ANYTHING MUCH of leader ironhide. How can one make the decision? If its strictly based on size, I am sure most of us will lean towards leader IF cost is a non-issue. However, we never considered the gimmicks, articulations, transformations... things that cannot be seen with just an official photo.

We need more information to determine.

Exactly. It will depend on how the front of the truck attaches to his chest in the Leader version. The Voyager one looks really flimsy to the point where if you pick the figure up it will come undone. If the leader attaches those parts more solidly, then I'm in.

I'm just getting ready for the fanboy ranting once the product starts hitting saturation. However, I do think that for $20-25, it's expensive for what it is. The large cannon doesn't make up for the price.
