I would have to agree. I have two boys and to be honest (I love TF) but I am tired of transforming them when they want to play with them. I have stopped buying them for my kids. They just sit in a bucket half transformed and pieces everywhere.

I get where Hasbro is going and I think it is a great idea. G1 toys were not as complicated as todays TF and the is how it should be.

Don't get me wrong I completely agree about the degree of difficulty, especially for the little ones. My kids have some of my extra G1 figures just because I couldn't transform the movie figures as fast as say the A/E/C figures :) . I would of left out the huge mechtech stuff and had some better paint apps or something. I'm not trying to hate on the movie stuff (like I said, I wanted it LOL). There are just too many better choices coming out this year, that I know the movie toys will be on the back burner for me. I really hope who ever wants them is completely happy with them!

Yeah, I don't know that Hasbro is being 'cheap', I just think they went with a design scheme that I don't like with all this 'Mechtech' stuff.

The amount of plastic is still there -possibly more with the mechtech guns and possible electronics.
It's just that I don't like it because, you know, this:

YES! THANK YOU HASBRO FOR SAVING ME TONS OF MONEY!

These toys look nothing like the characters in the movie.

I only buy accurate looking TF's.

    Thanks again Hasbro. :)

You know. I think this looks cool. It's just that it feels awkward to people from two extremely screen accurate and pretty transformation accurate ones to jump to this guy that is more simplified.

But it looks awesome. Sortof cartoony and the jumpjets are a great idea. Time will tell if it has any connection at all to the movie itself.

Hey, THAT'S what those "fuel tanks" are! Nice to see them posed in a way that makes sense.

Also, I hadn't even heard the "this isn't the real Voyager Prime" rumor. Sorry guys. :lol

Seriously, why the angst? When this toy comes out, it won't cause your Battle Blades Primes to spontaneously combust.

I do wonder how and if the trailer-toy rumors will pan out.

Oh, don't start that...we already have enough issues about what is what on these new toys. We have comparison pics showing it is the same size as the other Voyager Primes...

Anybody take a close look at the picture of the truck on the front of the package?
If that's a shot from the movie, this figure is accurate.
Look at the windshiled, the fuel tanks and the hood, the actual movie photo has all the extra stuff the toy has, I.E. solar panels, larger tanks etc..

The stock photos of the back of the box actually look impressive. Kids are gonna buy the shit out of this.

This dude really is growing on me. Still not sure about Mechtech as a gimmick, but it's something that I can live with. There have been gimmicks I really didn't like before now -- Unicron Trilogy, I'm looking at you -- so, it's really not all that of a turn off. I am of the opinion that when we see the guns attached and transformed correctly that at least a few of us will be converted.
