The cannon's not that great compared to other MechTechs. Other ones have bits that pop out or flip round, this one just has a little bit that spins. Your mileage may vary though, but I personally like the transforming weapons angle.
when is this gonna show up in stores? I saw it on amazon for $22.99...but I want to see it in person first
The other ironhide had the same chest locking problem, unless you knew the correct way to tab it in. It's awkward but it holds, check out Peaugh's review of it. May give his gatling gun to the old IH so he'll have two, and give this dude some pistols or a rifle.
Great review as always. As much as I have wanted a NICE red IronHide..for SUCH a long time, This just dont cut it for me. Easy pass
im really disappointed on this figure the arms are to small hes to tall and the transformation is hard. I regret not buying the deluxe class of him hopefully its still at TRU
HASBROOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL! Good review! I have the regular, black version, I enjoy this fig and will most likely get this version as well. I have been waiting for a red IH since movie I! Too bad it's not all red, I'm not too crazy about the tri-color thing, looks like a flag. About weapons, I took a pair of cannons from TFTM (Offroad) Ironhide, cut off the missile plugs, repainted them, and gave them to my black one, gave this fig a MAJOR facelift! Later
I have yet to see this Voyager out at stores.....I thought it was gonna be the last wave....or perhaps online only....I want it though the 3 diff colors are not the best...but still G1 as best as possible...and as a child of G1....I want this...I also got to get the Ratchet Target Voyager and a few others....glad for the $5.00 off coupons I got that were at my walmart by the Dotm toys and I took like 12 of them. Being I got like lots of DOTM toys... Til all are one...
That paint job is so retro - I love it. He will be mine. I don't care about arm poseability so much. I'm a grown up. I don't play with them that much
As I recall, the black voyager Ironhide had an assembly issue where the front wheels were installed on the wrong sides. Swapping the front wheels (and since I don't have Ironhide I don't know how many pieces or specifically which pieces need to be swapped) allows the wheels to fold in better, and also allows the chest to lock together much better. Does anyone know if this is the case with Cannon Force Ironhide as well? As for the colors, I quite like the mix of red, black, and tangerine. The solid red head somehow works for me, though the solid red feet still look bad. Maybe Reprolabels will do a set that adds black/tangerine on the upper feet?
