Nice find . Too bad DOTM stuff isn't looking very good. ( my opinion, of course)

Seems to me major retailers are dying to put DOTM stuff out. I hope this isn't the line that fails the retailers.... I hope it moves like the first two. Keeps the TF brand flush with cash to develop other stuff.

Personally, though, DOTM toys are underwhelming. A few look like proper evolutions from ROTF while others are dumbed down to playskool level.
I anticipate getting voyager megatron; shockwave; leader sentinel; the green wrecker ... Those are the only ones so far that are interesting me.

I know I'm not alone...

 

Were they buyable, or blocked out at the register?

Question is, will the store actually sell them? Wal-Mart usually will stop street-dated items from being bought at the register.

 

Better question is, does anyone actually want to buy them? They look fuggin' lame.

 

If the product is "red flagged" then no the register will refuse the sale. However, I have heard from my Hasbro rep (I work for WM) that when we get them in they can go out before the street date since its a Hasbro owned product and not like the Marvel license products who have to stick to the street date. Their overall sales have been low (go figure with the lack of new product on my shelves, but I digress) as reflected in their annual report on another thread here.

 

And so, it begins. Honestly, if the Bumblebee figure in this set had the deco of the single release version, I would probably get this set. Out of all the wave 1 stuff we know is on the way, the only figure I know I'm for sure getting, is Voyager Megatron. Might get Deluxe Bumblebee, but I'm not decided on that yet. Might come down to an in-person decision (which probably means I'll get him, as I love the look of his alt-mode).

If you picked one up you should post some feedback/pics for him. Prime looks ok, BB, not so much from what we have seen.

 

For $15 they can keep em.

 

My WM's all have blank shelf space..probably for this set up...but heaven forbid should THEY put anything out early..heck no.. Jealous a little bit right now
