A handful of movie theaters in NYC have started selling tickets to midnight showings and opening day showings for DOTM through Fandango. Have ticket sales begun in your area?

    This is exciting news.

I personally plan on waiting until a theater closer to me starts selling tickets before I purchase mine.

None are available in my area yet, according to Fandango - I've been checking daily though, so hopefully I will get mine soon.

I've seen the past 2 movies at the palisades center IMAX, The best IMAX theater in the country. Kinda pissed though, on there website they have a poster of harry potter, but nothing about transformers, I'm pretty sure they will have in it 3D, just a little worried

Give it some time. My IMAX doesn't have any 3D listings either, just 2D. But it's pretty guaranteed it'll be shown in 3D.

I bought tickets for the Icon Showplace in Chicago a week ago, and it seems I'm still like the only one who did according to the "available seats" chart. Anyone else planning to see it there???

I'm guessing it's because tickets are ~$15 but it's reserved seating and I have a group of 12 ppl going. No need to show-up super early!
