So like most others out there, I really wanted that Supreme Jetwing Prime that Encline made awhile back. I mean really, really, really wanted it. But when bidding got into the thousands, I said wait, maybe I can make something similiar for cheaper? So I already had a buster prime (got him waaayyy back) and I had just bought another one w/ a custom blue LED swapped in the head- just needed the Jetwing prime and a DMK kit. Found the kit in our very own JE for $150 and bought the Jetwing from TFsource for $200. So all in all he cost me about $400, but I'm good with that considering what Encline's went for. Still not done with him yet as I have to add his truck parts to his shoulders yet and then I'll do some small paint detailing here and there. It's an odd feeling when you start cutting on a buster prime (they're quite expensive now, the original w/the pinstripes anyhow) but it turned out great so far. The colors (particularly the red and blues) b/w the DMK kit and the Buster prime match very well (both Takara products, so I figured they would). So no paint done at all except for the hands and mirrors!
Importand to note: HE IS NOT DONE YET!!!!!!! ALMOST!!!!
    List of mods:

1.Ripped out old head/neck and installed the DMK head on a swivel joint at base, and double ball jointed at the head and neck - super poseable

2.Tore the abs out of the Jetwing Prime and added them to the original buster prime for the DOTM look

    3.Fakebusker super articulated hands

4.shoulders entirely re-built with DMK kit

    5. Forearms and lower legs as well are re-built using the DMK kit

6.Old wheels were removed and replaced with DMK wheels

7.gave optimus WAIST ARTICULATION! cool for mid air posing and such!

And used several other bits from the kit here and there as well. Got some Kotobukiya chain guns coming with ammo chains as well. Will update post when they arrive. Enjoy Folks!

    Thanks!
So it is. But doesn't using the DMK kit and jetpack also make it look good? Sounds like you might be dissin it because I didn't actually paint it. Part of the beauty of this is the simplicity in having the paintwork already done by matching them up nicely. When finished it will have alot more fine detail paintapps in his interior electronics and such, but the base red and blues (and flames) will stay the same, just dullcoted and matte finished.
    Thanks Henry!

Either head is fine, but maybe you should paint that silver too so it matches. Can't wait when its done.

I think the only thing I don't like is the head. Other than that, awesome job! :thumbs2:
