Just wondering which is the better figure. Both screen accuracy and correct scale with DOTM Voyager Megatron are pluses, but not necessary.

I have the deluxe and the Voyager's original release two years ago (same mold, new colors)

If you want scale accuracy to the recent Voyager Megatron, I think deluxe might be a slightly better option. But the voyager Starscream features a more complex design which is more screen accurate (and looks almost as big, if not bigger, than Voyager megs). Of course if you want to get spendy, last year's Leader STarscream is considered THE BEST version of the design yet produced :p

Both are superb Transformers products and well worth getting for their own reasons. Of what's available at retail, I'd skew towards the deluxe (or the repaint Thundercracker) simply because he's cheaper and I found that mold to be among the most enjoyable deluxes I've handled in the last 5 years.

Forget them both. Buy HFTD Leader Starscream or his Masterpiece equivalent.

Deluxe. The Leader is a great toy...but I'm not liking it as much. It isn't so much as it's complex, but the overall proportions of the alt mode don't sit well with me. Also, the way how his legs are so forward, and there's a TON of back, makes it so that the only good viewing angle is the front or an isometric one. That's just the problem with an insistence on using sounds and lights, but it don't mean I'll forgive it.

I think out of all of them...the deluxe is the best. It's got the best alt mode in that it best represents the fighter in question, and the 'bot mode is really good too.

Deluxe screamer and thundercracker rock! They're like uber roided up versions of their classics brothers. Great articulation

If you can't afford the Leader/MP Starscream, the next best thing is the Deluxe mold. But if you can spring the cash, definitely Leader/MP Starscream (the bot mode is just awesome and the alt mode isn't that bad; it's a bit fat but the lines do flow relatively well and there's no real jagged robot bits sticking out of him too glaringly, unlike the obvious hands out the rear thrusters on the Voyager mold). If you can afford it, why not get both? XD
