Same thing as DotM Ratchet... but I skipped the original release.. and this G1 color caught my attention.. and i did give it a chance to fit into my collection... Not bad not bad...

You've got some great pics there, I've gotta say.  

 

I have both ratchet with me. Both have their charm. The silver paint on the specialist is really nice. The weapon is colored to match, and his eyes are lightpiped white. The color stands out much more than the subdued green of the first version.

 

I'm torn as to which version I like best.

The green of the first was really starting to grow on me and my preference tends to movie accurate colors (due to my display).

BUT, as cool as the saw-gun is it REALLY doesn't work in alt mode and this weapon works sooooo much better IMHO. Has a kinda firetruck vibe. But the red....I'm not sure.

Aghhh, what to do.

 

A new head, remove the mesh, and this will make an excellent G1 Ironhide.

 

^This. Because this deco has nothing to do with G1 Ratchet, he was white.

 

I will call him Inferno  

 

I will call him Sentinel Prime Jr.

You should pose him next to his Daddy.

 

Maybe it's just the pictures, but the red look...cheapish to me. Paintapps are otherwise pretty good, though if i pick this one up I'd want to fix the clown nose.

 

Looks better than the pink being passed off as red on Walmart 2.0 Powerglide.

 

you don't have to take my word for it, but its a vibrant red. Its brighter than powerglide universe walmart red. I think it reflects well with the silver and the white. He looks stylish, at least to me.

 

Blame the photos, then. Still have to fix the clown nose.

The decent amount of silver paint on this Ratchet is awesome too.

I didn't get Sentinel Prime somehow... still not getting me to pay for a $30~40 toy..

yeah... pictures from a cell phone... but the red doesn't look as cheap as some KO ... find one in person then figure it out..

 

I think the pictures look pretty good. Good enough for me to really debate this version or the green version.
